This team is undefeated versus NFC teams and has 3 loses in the division (edit...I missed the Seahawks I address them in a follow-up post). Another loss to BBs Pats, who know him as well as anybody. Do you see a pattern?
Some loses were without Ben. Understandable.
But Ben struggles with picks against teams that KNOW HIM WELL. Nothing to do with how good the opponent is. We beat some of the best teams if they were unfamiliar. We beat bad teams that were unfamiliar.
Ben is unlike any other QB in the league. So teams that don't face him he tears up. It take experience to even know how to tackle him. Normal don't work with him.
Familiar teams give us trouble.
Browns tend to be an exception but between being so horrible and no coach continuity they don't really know Ben as well as the rest of the division
Someone said, "keep safeties deep, allow the underneath stuff and Ben will eventually force deep throws to coverage and throw picks."
We never seem to lose when he does not turn the ball over and rarely lose when he has one turnover. The key to beating us is to turn it over or you will lose.
Thoughts?
