Tomlin is telling Baltimore nothing and that's a good thing. Since he's likely getting a hat Sunday I wouldn't mind seeing Grant get some reps.

and this is why I smh when people say coaches always play the best players.

sometimes a coach just likes or dislikes a player and we will never know why.

I saw it in HS all the time. Coaches had favorites.

Not sure what the coaches see in Blake because he isn't performing well right now and the numbers are better without him.

Incidentally, these are the defensive snap counts for the main Steelers CBs over the last three games:

Ind. - Blake 32, Boykin 40, Cockrell 43, Gay 46
Cin. - Blake 31, Boykin 39, Cockrell 46, Gay 48
Den. - Blake 44, Boykin 50, Cockrell 44, Gay 75

Blake has not been benched, but he has been playing less than Boykin...and when Blake is being abused, as he was in the Denver game, Tomlin has shown the willingness to take him out of the game...

I don't know why everybody is getting all bent out of shape...if Boykin were not playing, like earlier in the year, that would be one thing...but he is now on the field for 20% more snaps than Blake...

It's because if he allowed the benching of Blake it would show fault in the coaching staff...just like he said they made no adjustments in the 2nd half....if he admitted they made adjustments it would have been a coaching error

But, really, who cares? If Blake is playing less and Boykin is playing more and that equals three wins, why is the coach speak so important? Do fans really need to hear that? Or do they need to see the results?
