Can't be sure, but it seemed even our O-line made half time adjustments

They seemed like a bunch of revolving doors the first half, but protection in the second half seemed to give Ben that 1 extra second or so he needed to get the job done. Anyone able to comment on the O-line 1st vs. 2nd half?

I know we started passing short getting the ball out faster. Drives were long. As the game wore on the defense seemed to tire.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

    TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

I thought Alejandro was having a tough time against the speed rushers in the first half. A whiff or two and some holding, not all of it called. Looks like he gave himself a talking-to at halftime. "Be quicker".

I think the Broncos came in with a game plan to challenge the offensive line and in the first half it looked like we were somewhat unstable. Not surprising when you can't run the ball and the opponents defensive line is controlling the LOS. However, they pulled together at half time and with a quick rhythm passing attack we just wore them down. I've said in the past that given the new league rules you can't "dink and dunk" a defense into fatigue pretty easy, maybe more effectively than running the ball. I think we saw that yesterday.

Broncos played a ton of man.
Curls werent going to defeat tight man and not until they started running crossing patterns did they become effective at moving the ball.

I hope this was a positive learning experience for both coordinators. If we can make adjustments like that within a half, rather than only between halfs, we have a fighting chance of being unstoppable.

Butler gets an "A" for adjustments. And Haley ... I can't really remember thinking, "Wow, what a great game plan adjustment!" before where he was concerned. "A+"!

I think we outcoached them yesterday.
