Well, it looked to me Blake was taken out with Gay at #1 and Cockrell #2 with Boykin in the slot and no more or little zone.

No, your eyes didn't deceive you. Less Blake + less zone + tighter coverage in the second half = better results.

I find this hard to believe. For one, it was clear the CBs were much closer to the line of scrimmage in the second half. It also seemed there was more man coverage.

What I'm wondering is, why did it take until halftime to make these adjustments? Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with the halftime adjustments, and very happy with the results...but did they really need to watch Denver get 4 easy TD drives before they made the changes?

And why do I have a sneaking suspicion that they'll bring Blake and the 10-yard cushion back?

Cockrell on Demaryius Thomas + Gay/Boykin on Emmanuel Sanders = 0 Denver points in the 2nd half

Perhaps that was the adjustment...not a scheme change, but making the DBs play tighter...

First post! I had to respond to this. I think he probably wants the team to think that it was just always about each individual effort and job. That if they do what they are tasked with they will see results. It sure did look like they made adjustments. It's actually smart for him to not take credit. It's why he's who he is and everyone is talking about us being a team nobody wants to face!
