Though I might have a different reaction if that last pass to AB had gone wrong, after the bonehead pic a few plays before.
Reported on the radio that it was a called play from the sideline. But even so, I think it was up to Ben to not throw that ball, no matter what the call.
Wrs could not get open deep, could not run in the first half.
Ball control short passing game both moved the ball and tired the defense in the second.
I do not know if was so much the offensive adjustments as it was the defenses. The offense never had a chance to tire out their D because the Steeler D could not get off the field. What was possession time in first half vs 2nd half for the Steelers it had to be 2 to 1

It's a combination. Our 2nd half drives were time consuming too.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:
TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

The pick was a ridiculously stupid threw by Ben. I don't fault the call at all. A veteran QB should know better than to attempt that throw.

OK with the call (and the one to Brown afterward). But yea, Roethlisberger should never have thrown it. I am fairly certain he knew he blew it as soon as he let it go.
Good teams find ways to overcome adversity, and this seems to be one of those games where the Defense grew enormously.
