    Steelers can win Division if...

    Steelers win out....
Bungles loose out....or loose two and win against SF
Denver looses 2 out of the last 3 including to us
KC looses 1 out of the last 3

We would then be 2nd seed ...... not a crazy possibility!!

    Go Steelers!!!!

Steelers better win out or discussion is moot point

Bumgals won't lose out. They will win one of those games

I could see Denver losing 2 of 3, but more likely they lose only one to us

I'm hoping KC loses two games or we have a problem

Jets need to lose two games too

If the Steelers win out, the Jets and Chiefs only have to lose 1 game and the Steelers are the 5th seed. If the Steelers win out, it doesn't matter what anyone else does, the Steelers are in the playoffs. Why do you think the Steelers need the Jets and chiefs to lose twice?

If the Steelers win out, the Chiefs need only to lose one game for the Steelers to take the #5 seed. They have the tiebreakers with the Jets. If the Chiefs lose a game while the Steelers and Jets win out, the Chiefs sit at home for the postseason.

KC is on a 7 game winning streak and have Ravens, Browns, and Raiders. Only Raiders should be a test but KC already beat them by 14 and it will be a KC home game. Real chance at sweeping the last 3.

Jets have won 3 and have Dallas (abysmal), New England, and Buffalo. Played NE tough earlier but lost to Buf at home. That last one could be tough being away and Rex fighting to keep his job.

Osweiler has fallen back to earth. Over 300 yards this week but no points. Not good at all the week before. This is a beatable team. And it would be inexcusable to lose to the Browns or Ravens after that.

If the Steelers don't win out they don't deserve to be in any championship discussion.

Why? A team from the AFC South and NFC East is going to be in the discussion, so the Steelers not winning out shouldn't preclude them from the discussion, stuff happens. You have to be in it to win it!

If I'm not mistaken, it's possible for the Steelers to win out and still miss the playoffs. I think both the Jets and Chiefs are ahead of Pittsburgh in the WC race, and if they all were to win out, the Steelers could find themselves watching the postseason on TV. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm terrible with these scenarios, but I think I read somewhere that if the Steelers, Cheifs and Jets all win out, the Steelers get in because of how that would impact one of the tiebreakers.

Right now, the Jets are the 6th seed because they currently have a 6-4 conference record and we have a 5-4 conference record right now. If we both win out, however, then we would then both have an 8-4 conference record, and it would have to go to the next tiebreaker, which I believe is common opponents, and we come out on top over NYJ there, if I understand it correctly.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

This is the scenario if both Jets & Steelers win out...

We have four common opponents with the Jets:

Cleveland: Steelers 2 Wins, Jets 1 Win
New England: Steelers 1 Loss, Jets 1 Win, 1 Loss
Indianapolis: Steelers 1 Win, Jets 1 Win
Oakland: Steelers 1 Win, Jets 1 Loss

Steelers are 4-1 vs. common opponents
Jets are 3-2 vs. common opponents

Win out and let the rest of the cards fall where they may. With Blount and Easley now out for the year, the Patriots are starting to fall apart and the entire AFC suddenly seems wide-open. The 5 seed would still likely be the best path, but if we can get in on a 5-game winning streak I like our chances against anyone.
