McCarron sez he's the next Tom Brady.

        I certainly hope not.

Wore #10 in college and has a hot wife. That's where the similarities end.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

I'm not sure why a lot of people aren't giving this kid a chance, he didn't look overwhelmed on Sunday. He made a couple mistakes, but for the most part he looked poised and in control.

That's what I thought. With a chance to get starter's reps, and some work cleaning up mistakes, he might be able to do plenty enough to help his team win one or two games. Then they'd have Dalton back for the playoffs.

He put up a lot of his stats in garbage time...when the Steelers were basically playing prevent defense....

He took a chance when he chucked it up to AJ Green, but if Blake could cover, that also may not have ended well...

He may win the game against SF, as they are horrible...but I wouldn't look past that...

                    Unfortunately it won't happen.

They play the 49ers, Broncos and Ravens.

49ers just plain stink, Broncos will probably beat them and the Ravens won't care last game of the season. They will win at least one of those games maybe two.

IMO, there really wasn't any garbage time because the Steelers didn't put the game away, the outcome was still in the balance after Ben threw the pick with about 7 and half minutes to go. McCarron then made his second big mistake, throwing late, high and into coverage on the ensuing drive and the Steelers intercepted to ice the game essentially. Up until that point, I wouldn't call McCarron's stats in garbage time.

AJ Green was open I didn't see that as "taking a chance" he threw a pretty nice ball in to Green, then the Keystone Cops took over and let Green score a TD.

IMO, he looked confident taking over for Dalton in a similar fashion that Jones looked comfortable taking over for Ben. Now, how he performs when the other team is prepping for him might be a different story as we have seen with Jones.

                          From the AP Wire:

...McCarron has Brady on his mind.
"I guess Tom Brady was in the same situation when he had the opportunity, so I gotta make the most of it," McCarron said after going 22 of 32 for 280 yards with two touchdowns, three sacks and two interceptions in a loss to Pittsburgh.

                          Now there's an overreaction.

Hey AJ: Win a game before you mention yourself and Brady in the same sentence.

If McCarron leads the Bengals (10-3) to a victory over the lowly 49ers (4-9), he'll become the first Alabama quarterback to win an NFL start since Jeff Rutledge in 1987.

After that, all McCarron needs are four Super Bowl rings to be in Brady's class.
I would also add that AJ needs to start cheating his @$$ off to be in Brady's class...

Right, because that's how stats work.

The Steelers haven't beaten the Broncos in Pittsburgh since 1997, which has nothing to do with Sunday's game.

He'll be facing Gabbert, Osweiler, and Clausen, too.
