odd that he took himself out of that game then goes on to say he never had a concussion, wants to play next week and doesnt miss practice........

Ben has been studying the concussion protocol tests, waiting for the next contact to the head so he can fake a concussion, because he doesn't want to play, and he wants to get traded?

Could absolutely be true, especially since his Dad was noted to be on the grassy knoll moments before the motorcade passed, but was never accounted for immediately after. It's on YouTube!

It isnt odd at all.. once the game was out of reach he took himself out. Everyone saw him take a shot to the helmet.

He took *himself* out?? Because the game was out of reach??

WFT, last I heard, that is a coach's decision. I thought he was held out because of the results of a concussion protocol test. Maybe it was the right time to pull him, maybe not, but a player deciding to leave the field because he thinks it's the right thing to do doesn't seem right to me at all.

It's confirmed that he took himself out, wasn't pulled?

If Ben reports concussion like symptoms, such as peripheral vision loss, then he is taken out of the game regardless of what the coach decides. This is part of the new concussion protocol. Ben could have lied on the sideline and said he was perfectly fine. After the fact, he decided that it was actually a form of migraine. He was still in the concussion protocol because of the symptoms he reported.

That's more what I assumed happened. Quite different from what was described a few posts up. Thanks for clarifying -

so when the game was still 'in reach', ben stayed in the game after the hit to the head but after the steelers offensive series ends, he self reports.

If they won't do it here and he wants to play? Let him do it somewhere else.
Yep - Ben has given up. Doesn't want to play for the Steelers anymore. No qualified people around him. Takes himself out of games. Haley won't let him throw and is getting him killed. AB washed up and running into goal posts. Bryant can't catch a cold. Wheatie can't run routes. DHB? Please. Without Bell, we can't run. Left tackle can't protect the franchise. What a waste.

I guess this is the week where Ben will demand a trade. Go to a real team that needs and appreciates a franchise QB. Jacoby Jones will tell you. This team doesn't appreciate talent. They could both end up going to a winner.
