    11 TD's, 9 INT's

This is Ben's stats for the year.

All this talk about our great offense but until our franchise QB puts up some franchise numbers we aren't going anywhere.

D stinks too but maybe they would stink a little less if we didn't see them as often due to turnovers.

He's been outplayed by lesser talent, Wilson And Dalton to name a few.

30 points against that defense on the road should be enough. He couldn't overcome Tomlin and the defense.

Dalton didn't do ****, but he did enough to not cost his team a win unlike Ben. Wilson only hand 256 before the last play and the defense had 4 three and outs to that point , Ben int got them into the game forcing passes.

Bryant needs to start making catches he should make, too. Took points off the board with several drops.

Ben's 2nd INT was an obvious missed PI on Sherman. His only legit INT was one he tried to pull back but slipped out of his hands.

Seriously, if people think Ben was the biggest problem yesterday you'd better hope he doesn't get IR'd. They won't win another game.

Ben underthrew Bryant 2 times and defenders made plays on the ball.

Ben also tried to run twice inside the 5 and both resulted in FG's instead of TD's.

30 points isn't enough when you have 2 INT's that are converted to TD's

The offense in general was a problem yesterday. No one expected the defense to carry the team, but there were expectations that the offense would be able to make up for defensive deficiencies and it just isn't happening on a consistent enough basis. No matter how you want to slice it the turnovers were the difference yesterday. When the defense was making stops (3 consecutive 3 and outs in the 2nd half I believe) the offense was ineffective and could have put the game away. On the 3 and outs, the offense scored a FG and gave up two INTs, can't happen when your defense is struggling.

                  3rd quarter
                  Seattle: 3 and out
Steelers: FG (1st and 10 at the 11 yard line)

                  Seattle: 3 and out
                  Steelers: INT

                  4th quarter
                  Seattle: 3 and out
                  Steelers: INT

You guys are nutz. 30 pts with Tomlin chickening out on three 4th and shorts against a top five defense on the road and the O is the problem. The D is free to make a stop on 3rd and long after an INT, too. Those don't have to be automatic TDs.

And a 6'4" receiver has to win some jump balls with smaller DBs. That's why you want a big receiver. He lost every battle for the ball. That can't happen.

and the last thing you want to do is throw a bad defense back on the field after they get a 3 and out.

another problem is the deep passes on 3rd and 2. How about using the RB to get a first down?

Bryant didn't lose every battle... throw the damn ball a little further on 3 or 4 passes and that's 3 or 4 TD's.

The O is part of the problem. Last thing we need is to give the home team more opportunities against our D.

we lost the Cinci game because of INT's too...

stop kicking FG's and score more TD's with this great offense. We shouldn't have to go for it on 4th down 3 times of our O is so great.

No one is saying the defense isn't allowed to make a stop, but from the beginning of the year which unit was going to carry this team? There was talk of averaging 30 points a game, not even close, they are averaging about 23. Any positive progress by the defense is a bonus, the expectation with an 11 year franchise QB, the best WR, a top 7 or 8 TE, the best all around RB tandem (until Bells' injury and Williams has proven to be very good in relief), and 2nd and 3rd WRs that will rival any team in the NFL would be for that unit to do better than they are, IMO.

The Steelers needed the offense to be better yesterday due to deficiencies on defense.
