    Bring back Archer

Jacoby Jones is shell shocked... dude is running scared and almost fumbles every time he gets hit.

He is going to cost us a game down the road.

Todman and Wheaton back for kick-offs. 80% are not returnable anyway. If They put Davenport and Blount back there then almost anyone will do. Put Brown back out for punts as you have for years. Just get through the season. Don't compound the Jones error by bringing back another useless player. Get a returner in the off season.

Teach special teamers how to block someone without holding or blocking in the back every time.

Until this happens, it doesn't matter if you have Devin Hester returning kicks or Deion Sanders returning punts.

It seems like we focus on finding good coverage guys for ST's, while not worrying about whether anyone can block for returns.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Ruthy.....i usually agree with you but this guy scares me out there. He's slow and indecisive.
I can see why the Chargers cut him.
He's one teams junk and another teams treasure.

Did we have a penalty on ST today? I don't really recall it being a problem the whole year either, though I could be wrong. Jones is garbage! Archer was garbage too, but he was our garbage. And he does have upside too, no matter what you or I might say.
I wasn't hired for my disposition.

Jones looks like he's running in water. It's hard to watch. Unless we want to risk putting one of our receivers in there, we should just tell Jones to down every ball that's in the EZ. Every return looks like a disaster waiting to happen.

every punt had a penalty... Blake had 2 blocks in the back and Shark had a 15 harder for running into the PR guy on a fair catch.

Yes, we had penalties on STs in the game. No. 41 had two, IIRC. And they weren't questionable. He earned them. What was he thinking? I'm sure there were others.

Yes, there were. Forgot about Shamarko's. And what was HE thinking?

Did he even touch the punt returner? It looked like there was no contact to me. Just really close.

He got called for fair catch interference. Don't have to touch him. Receiver has the right of way and the ref can call a penalty if he believes the punting team obstructed his path to the ball. It was a stupid play by Shark. He should know better.

I always wondered why cover guys find it necessary to run as close as possible to the guy fielding the punt once he has clearly signaled for a fair catch. I get you want to be there if he happens to muff or fumble the kick, but 95 times out of a 100 the guy is going to field the punt, let him field it and don't risk 15 yards for something that dumb. I don't get it.

same reason guys blocking on the return team love to run close to a ball that is bouncing...

they think it's cute to play with fire.
