Cokrell had good coverage all day, just better play by Graham. Blake on the other hand suck and Tomlin is responsible for being stubborn among with Will.

coverage might have been better but if you let every pass be caught and then miss the tackle, it doesnt really matter.

Right. Even if we played man coverage (heresy, I know) it would make QBs think a split second before the throw. It can't be a worse gamble than what we do now.

I think Golden played very well in place of Allen. He's by far a better athlete in coverage and tackling.

I would tend to agree Steel... Mitchell missed the tackle that sealed the game for the Hawks on that last drive... but, for the most part...a much better player this year.

Mike Tomlin has been more actively involved in what the defense will be doing in 2015, and it’s already been evident at training camp at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe. Tomlin has spent periods of several days this week working with the cornerbacks and safeties on zone coverages similar to what he employed when he was the secondary coach with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.


It’s the first time since he became head coach in 2007 that Tomlin outwardly has put his imprint on the defense and changed the way the Steelers play in the secondary. He didn’t do it his first eight years out of deference and respect for LeBeau, a Hall of Fame player and one of the greatest assistant coaches in NFL history.

The Tomlin bleeding hearts will not allow you to down Blake. In their eyes he is a top 5 corner because every now and then that blind squirrel finds a nut.

I wouldn't say that I'm a "Tomlin bleeding heart" but I do like him. I also realize that Blake is absolutely horrible and I don't understand why Tomlin/Butler/Lake keep him in the starting lineup with Boykin on the bench. I know ... it's LeBeau's fault.
