    Steelers looking past Seattle

Talking about running the table. I guess being focussed on the task at hand has gone by the wayside.

    yeah, sounds like it

Greed, in this instance, means winning their final six games, starting Sunday in Seattle.

Yeah, that article really supports the OP's argument.

Wouldn't they have to beat Seattle in order to run the table?

Whatever happened to "Singularly focussed on the task at hand"? Not that it's a surprise. This team continually overlooks bad teams and in fact, just last game, rested their star QB because it was "just the Browns".

Stark contrast in attitude to this well-coached team.

Yet another example of the Steelers looking beyond this week:

“We are in the thick of it enough that we simply need to focus on this week’s challenges,’’ Tomlin said. “And if we continue to meet the week’s challenges, whatever this week’s challenge is, that can be true as we move forward.”
                  Oh...wait a minute...

                    Here we go again:

“We are not what we desire to be,’’ Tomlin said. “We could be better. We could be worse. The reality is we know enough to know that we need to be focused on the task at hand. We don’t have to look outside the stadiums.”
                    Aww...dang nabbit!

I'm sure he misspoke as he "mismanaged the time" thinking that "this week" really means play offs. We all know he has a time issue so couldn't possibly exhibit leadership and focus by getting the team ready for Seattle.

So if you say in August that your goal is to win the Super Bowl, that means you're overlooking the season opener?
