I think there been talk in other threads about wasted draft picks. Apparently now this was one in DrI Archer. I had high hopes for him. I would love to have a guy that explosive on the field. Apparently though Haley couldn't figure out how to use that kind of weapon. Unfortunately someone like Belicheck or maybe chip Kelly will figure it out and have themselves a real weapon. Like dion Lewis.

I am excited about jones though if he still is half the returner he was in baltimore.

winwithd: It wasn't that Haley couldn't figure out how to use Archer. The problem was that Archer does not remotely resemble an NFL player. He wasn't that fast ( stopwatch notwithstanding); certainly wasn't big, wasn't elusive, was a poor pass receiver, and went down on initial contact. Couldn't serve as a punt returner ( couldn't trust him to catch the ball) and was not even an average kickoff returner. If not for where he was drafted he'd have been released a lot sooner.
