Embarrassing loss at KC we are only 500. 2nd loss to an inferior team, season over

.........Said IDIOT Pats fan after they GOT SMOKED 41-14 BY THE CHIEFS last year.

They went on to win the Superbowl

They got smoked FORTY ONE - FOURTEEN WITH TOM STINKIN BRADY, not LANDRY JONES in his first start!
They had already lost to the Dolpins and were 2-2 after KC DESTRYED them.

But noooo good coaches NEVER lose to inferior teams?

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

What is the Pats* record against sub .200 teams?

Not to mention, the Chiefs were 9-7 last year. A much better team than they are this year. This year, they lost Charles, a top 5 RB, and had only 1 legit offensive weapon - Kelce.

Every team has idiot fans that over-react based on early season outcomes.

And some fans are idiots no matter what their team does - we have our fair share of those up here, too.

Knile Davis ran for over 100 yards in that game against NE last year (Charles had a solid game against NE for sure, but did not surpass the century mark...he certainly was not the overwhelming difference in the 41-14 blowout).

Kelce was their only legit weapon in the passing game last year as well (Alex Smith threw ZERO touchdown passes to his wideout in the entire 2014 season).

The Chiefs were 9-7 based on their defense. Look at these two QB lines:
            14-23 for 159 yards, 1 TD, 2 INT, 2 sacks
            16-29 for 209 yards, 1 TD, 2 INT, 2 sacks

Which one is Tom Brady in KC in 2014 and which one is Landry Jones in KC in 2015? Does it matter?
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

That is just a symptom of fandom in general...

It would be simpler to demonize all Pats** fans and hold all Steeler fans to be superior, but general fandom makes that impractical for sane people.
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Ruthless, I understand and appreciate the point that you are trying to make. And I certainly don't think this season is over.

With that said, Tomlin has an incredibly poor record against the worst teams in the league. Last year, he lost to the 2-14 Bucs and the 4-12 Jets. Those losses cost the Steelers a first round bye. In previous years, losses against the league's worst teams have cost the Steelers playoff spots.

You can't throw away wins in the NFL. You just can't. The season is too short and each game is too significant.

I'm frustrated because it happens year after year. It's even more frustrating that when Tomlin is questioned about his awful record against the dregs of the league, there are posters who paint it as a racial issue.

Fair enough, and if I took that too personally, I apologize.

As I said in the other thread, I'm sure that there is both criticism and support based solely on race. I hate to see legitimate discussion (or griping - after all this is a message board) cut off solely because of that issue.

No apology necessary. Whether griping, praising or discussing, you contribute positively to the board as far as I'm concerned.

Yet we beat them last year with our pathetic, idiot, coach......it helps when we actually have our QB.

I say getting destroyed by THAT Chiefs team WITH arguably the best QB of the era, 42-14 is a MUCH bigger fail than merely losing to THIS Chiefs team with your fourth option at QB.
