10-6 will get us into the playoffs

As I see it we split with Cinncy at the best and loose at least 2 more games.
As we stand now if I'm correct we have the 2nd wildcard if the season ended today.
If you take out all the probable divisional champs the records of the second place teams are poor.

Not sure that 10-6 will be good enough, given the Steelers' crappy conference record this season.

We are where I thought we'd be considering missing Bryant, Pouncey, Ben, etc. I always assume a split w/BAL and CIN. I had us losing to NE, SEA for sure and 50/50 versus ARI, IND, and DEN. I've learned to throw in a loss versus one of the other lesser teams (OAK, SD, STL, CLE) strictly based on how Tomlin teams do against them. I can see getting Ben back and going on a run but I don't buy that the defense will be up to the challenge. It's too bad because the offense could potentially beat any team if they got to the playoffs. I said it before the season started. This team will be too talented for even Tomlin to screw up next season when they have Golson and more experience with young players and hopefully draft a stud or two. We might be going deep into the playoffs for several years starting next year. They HAVE to find two serviceable safeties and at least a average corner though. I think Golson is that corner so I'm optimistic.

I also think 10-6 will be enough. The problem is getting this 10-6.

AFC South is a mess, I believe Indy will get in, but only one team from this division will go ahead.

AFC West is too inconsistent, I don't believe another team outside of Denver gets to the playoffs (Raiders schedule is too tough [Packers, Broncos, Steelers, Jets], Chargers would have to win it all but one game to go 10-6, facing the Broncos twice. Chiefs the same, but facing the Broncos only once and with a tougher schedule ahead than the Chargers).

AFC East is a problem. Patriots have almost clinched the playoffs. THEN we have the Jets (4-2), the Bills (3-4) and the Dolphins (3-3).
Here's where it gets tricky, the Dolphins face the Patriots two times, the Cowboys (probably with Romo), the Eagles (at Phily), the Giants and the Colts. I believe they lose, at least, 4 of those games, therefore, reaching 9-7 at most.
OTOH, the Jets have a fairly easy schedule ahead of them, facing Jaguars, Raiders, Texans, Dolphins (at home) and Titans. They could win one of the other 5 games, and get a 10-6. I believe they're getting in.
Last, but not least, the Bills. Facing Patriots, Cowboys (w/ Romo), Eagles (at Phily) and Jets (twice). If they lose three of those, they'll be 9-7 at most.

Now, the Steelers schedule: Bengals (twice), (at) Seahawks, Broncos, Colts and Ravens. If Steelers win, at least, three of those and win the 3 remaining games (Oakland (home) and Browns (x2)), I believe we're in.
Is it doable? I don't know, we need Ben ASAP and the defense has to get back on track.
