Ben: "i felt good". Quote after practice on thursday.

I'm calling it now, Ben is going to play Sunday. I sure hope he does not do damage to that knee against a team we may be able to beat with a back up QB.

If he is cleared medically but comes out an throws 3 INTs, it will, of course, be Tomlin's fault...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Some of you with the Tomlin stuff don't give it a rest..Jeeze
Landry starts, if he shlts the bed Ben comes in.
No ones fault, just the way it is.

        I agree with this assessment.

I don't see any way that Ben is active as the backup.

If Ben is good to go medically, he starts. End of discussion.

If he's not good to go medically, he'll be in his Duce Staley uniform on the sidelines again.

I expect the team to bring up Murphy from the P.S. to be Landry's backup in KC.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Yup. Landry took all the snaps with the 1's and Tyler Murphy took more than he has all year on Friday. I don't see any way they risk Ben against that pass rush on the road.

The week of work was good for him, though. He should be back for Cincy.

As for LJ, just keep getting the ball into the hands of the best collection of playmaking skill players in the league, and don't sit in that pocket waiting for your 4th option to break open.

Tyler Murphy, huh. I was wondering who the backup was going to be.

Ben isn't dressing as a backup. If Tyler Murphey is activated from the PS before 4:00 today, he's the backup. If he's not, Landry is and Ben is starting. Those are the only two options at this point.

Not for nothing, David Todd from ESPN Radio said that reports on Friday were that Ben was having trouble stepping into his throws. If that is true, he should sit another week.

It was certainly his fault for throwing him out there against SF a few years ago. He has taken few beatings as bad as that one.

Steelers will promote QB/WR Tyler Murphy from practice squad today - another indication Big Ben unlikely to return til Week
