    Steelers at KC

Great job Steelers on fighting threw these past weeks to stay in the running....

I would let Ben have a few snaps in the game this week just so he is not cold at home against Bungles...
Great game to have him shake off any rust.....

    go Steelers 38-6

Tomlin is adamant that if Ben is not healthy enough to start, he's not suiting up They're not treating this as a preseason game.

For all their flaws and injuries, the Chiefs do one thing well, perhaps as well as any team in the league - pressure the QB. This is not the game to be testing Ben's ability to move in the pocket.

With a backup LT making his first start.

      this is a terrible idea...

this isn't college, when have we ever seen a franchise QB knock off the rust for a quarter in a regular season game?

I think Landry comes back to earth, struggling with a couple of interceptions and a fumble lost in the game, but we squeak out a close win nonetheless because of a big game by Le'Veon Bell (over 150 combined rushing and receiving yards and a TD) and a re-emergence of Antonio Brown who was a shell of himself during the brief Vick era (7-8 catches for over 100 yards and a TD catch...plus a punt return TD as well). A late Boswell FG seals the deal. Book it.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Watching AV he impressed at camp and in the pre-season he held his own. Can't say I'm confident in Jones at all. Perhaps he has improved since those summer days at Latrobe where he was just dreadful.

I have some sympathy for the Chiefs because of my fellow brazilian kicker Cairo Santos, but this Sunday, I expect 24-12 Steelers. Cairo puts 4 between the uprights.

If the Steelers have 3 turnovers I don't believe they can win the game. Lets hope Jones does not come to earth and protects the ball, but makes a few plays and the Steelers get the win. IMO, they are not good enough to give the other team (even without Jamal Charles) 3 extra possessions and themselves 3 fewer possessions.

It's hard to ignore Landry's pedestrian preseason + previous two seasons of nothingness. However... he seemed to show how "easy" the position can be, if you get the ball out of your hands and into the hands of your playmakers. Vick, for the supposed veteran he is, would NEVER get the ball out on time and (maybe more importantly) let the guys run with the ball afterward.

This team is so stock full of weapons... all you have to do is: know where to go with the ball (which you would assume Landry would, having 2 years to learn) and just trusting yourself. It doesn't mean he's a future superstar... it just means that Vick refused to give himself a chance to win (by not being able to execute some of the basics of the position).
I wasn't hired for my disposition.

If we are minus 3 overall in the turnover department, then yeah. But with the way our defense has been playing, and with a bunch of backup type WR's and RB's out there for KC, I could see our defense taking the ball from them a couple of times as well. I'd say we can win with a minus 1 turnover differential.

Steelers 20-10. Landry Jones throws for under 200 yards with 1 TD and 2 picks.

Ben's officially listed as questionable, but Tuitt is confirmed to be OUT vs. KC, which sucks considering our lack of any quality depth at DE.

It's too bad McCullers hasn't developed - the logical move would be to put him at NT in the base and slide McLendon over to DE. Doesn't sound like it's happening though.
