Yep. Plenty of examples where NFL talent evaluators missed the boat. Look no further than JH, or any other undrafted free agent pickup that becomes a star.I think that's it. I can't find it now but the day Boswell was signed I ran across a quick blurb from a Houston sports reporter that essentially said Boswell was having a terrific camp with the Texans but they just decided to stick with their existing guy. No way to know until he plays but maybe he just needs an opportunity!
I hope it doesn't came down to it but I can say with certainty that if the next game came down to a long FG to win it; I'd feel better with Boswell in his first ever NFL game than with Scobee.
I'll reserve judgment on Boswell until his first missed FG.Comment

...or for that matter Sushi as well. If memory serves, I seem to recall he was a journey man before we signed him a few years ago. I mean really, he can only be an upgrade at this point.Comment

Ben claims he isn't targeting an October 25 return.

Thanks for the link. Good read. A couple of interesting things in that article:Ben claims he isn't targeting an October 25 return.

Roethlisberger said last week he will need to wear a brace when he returns. Roethlisberger never has worn one during a game.
“Basically say, ‘I'm out this week, we'll reevaluate it next week and see if and what I can do,' ” Roethlisberger said. “To me, that's the better way and maybe the more optimistic way to look at it. Rather than put a number on it, let's just take it one week at a time.”
Seven times in his 12-year career Roethlisberger has missed time because of injury. In the seven games after his return, the Steelers are 1-6, and Roethlisberger hasn't typically had good numbers.sigpicComment

Bouchette was asked for his best guess and said the week after Cincy. We could be several games out of the WC race by then. Pretty much makes SD a must win in my book.Ben claims he isn't targeting an October 25 return.

Otherwise the Steelers are 0-3 in the conference.
Keep in mind that Ben's history of returning from injury is not a good one. Usually a loss.Comment
