    Our Defense

As impressive as our offense has been and what still promises to be with the return of Le'Veon Bell and Martaivus Bryant, I would still be highly skeptical of our chances without the performance I saw from our defense today.

Shazier was a total beast, but the defense as a whole played fast, aggressive, and sound throughout the first 3 quarters. Kaepernick and their offense picked-up a lot of stats in the last quarter and a half, but by then, the Steeler D had already done what they needed to do.

If the Steelers can continue to show what they did on defense today, this team could easily be something very special.

Shazier was flat out insane. In or next to every play, or at least it seemed like it. Great to see.

Different calls when you up big, nothing to worry about as of the second half.

The Steelers front 7 was great today. In addition to the sacks and pressure, they blew up a number of runs for losses. Feels like it's been a long time since I've seen a Steelers D play like that. Great to see.

The secondary looked better, but still has room to improve.

          Butler has been a -1 and a +1 so far, for a net 0.
Next week will finally swing the needle into the black.

The front seven lived up to its draft pedigree. There's a ****ton of talent on that front seven. If they live up to it, good things are coming.
