Vick - you'd think we learn by now.

Gotta say I'm really disappointed that the Steelers have signed Michael Vick -- yes I understand that he did his time (which was primarily for running an illegal gambling ring, NOT for what he did to those animals).

And to some degree I believe in second chances -- although in the case of Michael Vick I believe he should have been cast off from the NFL.

I find it odd that Super Bowl MVP Santonio Holmes was such a problem that we "had" to trade him -- but we're willing to add a sub-par, known team cancer like Vick to the Steelers.

I realize the pickings (right now) are slim -- but I certainly would have preferred the Steelers wait to see what hits the wire after cuts.

I just don't believe there is any upside to Michael Vick - Zero. When given the chance to play last season, he clearly wasn't ready from a preparation stand point.

I also realize they're two different guys -- but this reeks of LeGarrette Blount all over again. Hope I'm wrong.

A Vick led Jets team upset the Steelers in week 10 last year. Seemed prepared then....

Call it small talk, but personally, I don't think he should be wearing the #1 jersey. Talk about arrogance. #17 is available. Give that to him.

Hide your beagle, Vick's an Eagle. Wonder what they'll come up with in Pittsburgh?

Personally I don't like the signing but the team would be in bad shape if Ben goes down. I guess we'll wait and see how this all unfolds. Did I say how much I dislike the preseason?

I CAN'T kick you out......the scoring would never be right.

Be tough to see this guy in a Steelers uniform, due to his massive scumbaggitedness.

Well from my perspective we're talking about:

Illegal Gambling - 21 months in Prison worth.
Cruelty to Animals (Numerous cases) --- something associated with Mentally Disturbed Behavior
                        A Career Sub-Par Quarterback 56% Completion % -- Tarvaris Jackson has a 59% Completion %
And for the most part a Team Cancer.

My issue is -- we just had L. Blout last season pull some B.S. like this.

And for the record I don't want someone who committed First Degree Murder on this team either.

What do you mean by team cancer? You said that twice. When he was a "superstar", of course his (subpar) play is going to affect his team negatively. But I don't remember him ever being a lackuster worker, a malcontent, or (especially) being a me, me, me guy. And now that he's been humbled, he still seems to be in good shape, willing to accept a lesser role, and help out where he can.

He's never been a film study guy, but he's not going to be asked to be at this point. He has so much experience... that will serve him well enough if/when he is pressed into SHORT-TERM duty. He still has a hose, and with our weapons... I think he has the ability to actually raise some eyebrows.
I wasn't hired for my disposition.

Vick ALWAYS seemed to be at his best when he is on a field with Steelers. May as well make it work in our favor.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

First of all, he wore #1 last season with the Jets. Second of all, it's just a number.
