Suisham suffers "potentially serious" knee injury

He's the only kicker on the roster. Hopefully it's not as serious as first thought. Stupid to get hurt making a tackle in a pre-season game. Errrrr.....

This could be really bad. Suisham has been money the past few years and with the extra points moved back we need someone with his accuracy.

Completely agree. Especially if the Steelers red zone issues persist, they need an accurate kicker.

Reports on Twitter says it's an ACL tear!!

I'm hoping for a BIG LEG this time around.

In more important news JEFF REED was kicked out of the H.O.F. stands last night. Not sure for what but Ed Buchette retweeted it.

This sucks if he's going to miss the season but anyone who has been around football players at all levels know there are cats whose DNA says go hit someone even kickers and punters. Far from the first time he tossed himself into a tackle.

This has to be one of the most absurd stories in NFL history. How do you lose your only kicker, for the entire season, in the first pre-season game making a tackle on a kickoff?

Nope. After the Martin Gramatica incident, any other kicker story pales in comparison as far as absurdity...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Steelers kicker Shaun Suisham believes he has a torn ACL

The Steelers are still awaiting MRI results on kicker Shaun Suisham’s injured knee, but Suisham’s belief is that the injury is a season-ender.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that Suisham has told people he thinks he tore his ACL.

Losing Suisham, who has made more than 90 percent of his field goals in three consecutive seasons, would hurt. The Steelers don’t have another kicker on the roster, and there aren’t a lot of good kickers available at the moment. The 39-year-old Jay Feely, who played in four games for the Bears last year, may be the best veteran currently on the market.

Update - Suisham is done. Having surgery on his left knee this week for a torn ACL and cartilage damage. Post Gazette reporting the Steelers will most surely put him on IR.

                        B. Cunduff, S. Graham, and J. Feeley are all available (sigh....)

Sucks. This is why I hate preseason games. First they are boring and second stuff like this happens

...and Tomlin should never answer and put that idiot back in a Steelers uniform. DUI just waiting to happen
