He'd be just as good no matter where he played...but his stats wouldn't be as good a lot of other places.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

        THIS is a balanced answer.

          What happened in 2007?
Ben DOES make receivers better, true Crash.
But when GOAT at the position Jerry Rice calls Brown the best......He know a thing or two more than the bozos on this forum.

When we eventually extend his deal a year or two from now, Antonio's price tag just went up with Dez Bryant and Demaryius Thomas just signing matching 5 year, $70 million deals, with about a two-thirds of the total value guaranteed.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

i bet he walks away from our offer(which wont be worth what these guys got) which will be okay seeing that we still have the other 3.

I think Brown is a MUCH better oveall talent than Mike Wallace, but he didn't exactly light it up after he left Pittsburgh.

Antonio Brown will be great no matter where he goes, he is so incredible at changing direction when running his routes it makes him almost impossible to cover. Ben makes a difference because he can extend plays, which allows brown to make more big plays down the field, opportunities he may not get with a typical QB. Both will be great without the other but they are explosive together.

We will not extend brown at his current value because the league overplays elite receivers. Great receivers have not produced many recent championships. They tend to kill the cap, so overall talent is hurt.

The only way it happens is if Brown takes less than he would command elsewhere which he would do if the quote is true. I like Brown but I don't buy it. Hope I am wrong.

I'm ok with Brown playing hard for the Pittsburgh Steelers now and leaving to get his payday elsewhere later. For whatever reason, the Steelers have shown they can replace WRs without too much difficulty.

                          Indeed.

Having Big Ben also helps that along. Only a couple other teams in the NFL have this luxury.

Much as I don't like to agree because I've enjoyed AB so much, you're probably right.
I wasn't hired for my disposition.

They do recycle wideouts effectively here, but Antonio is a truly special one, like Hines Ward before him, and they kept Hines a Steeler for life. They may treat Wheaton like another Manny Sanders and let him go when he is eligible for free agency. They may even treat Bryant like another Plaxico Burress and let him go when he is eligible for free agency. But I suspect they will find a way to hold onto Antonio, even if it gets contentious a year or two from now with a Hines-like holdout from camp in order to get a deal done. Dallas didn't break up their triplets in Aikman, Emmitt, and Irvin until each was ready to retire, so they team will find a way to keep Ben, Bell, and Brown intact.

We've had Ben for 11 years and counting, and never had a year on O like last year. Ben is very good, but he still needs his foils on the field. I don't think AB and LB would be as stellar as they were without someone of Ben's caliber on the field, but equally, Ben is going to be less effective without players like them on the field.
They all feed off one another. The Steelers will try their best to keep all three.
