Dupree for sure..I do like the rest.
Who's your favorite pick?

I really liked the whole draft. Listening to the interviews and hearing all the questions Dupree asked about Harrison at the dinner, there is no doubt that he will do everything he can to learn the OLB position. I also liked Golson and Coates - Golson for the takeaways and Coates for adding speed and size to the WR group.
I'm not down on any of the picks. I'm not a Jesse James fan, but I don't have a problem with him in the 5th. I just don't see him as the next Heath - I think he will be the next Spaeth.Comment

Ive spoke on Dupree quite a bit on how i believe hes a bit awkward of a pass rusher.
That being said, the guy is gigantic, explosive, and has some freakish strength. Tomlin and Butler are excited about him and they should be.
This draft was about value except Golson, which was simply a case of them making sure they got their guy. Coates was a late first/early second round prospect (he can be sloppy, but he looks like TO when he gets the ball in his hands)
Everyone wanted a big corner, but Golson and Grant are feisty players and can still be great CBs without being long like everyone seems to requireComment

Senquez Golson. I'm of the opinion, I want the best football player, not the best physical specimen. For those who don't understand the difference, think of how many guys were taller/faster/stronger than Hines Ward.
With this guy, I honestly believe he's a multi-year starter, and by the end of the 2016 season, considered the best CB on the team.
One man's opinion...2013 MNF Executive Champion!Comment

I wouldn't be shock if you were right. What I love is his ability to get the ball which is an element we had missing from the secondary for years. Teams challenging him may play right into his hands...no pun intended.Senquez Golson. I'm of the opinion, I want the best football player, not the best physical specimen. Why doesn't he appear to play strong? That was my concern on tape. I didn't see a ton of strength in his game.Ive spoke on Dupree quite a bit on how i believe hes a bit awkward of a pass rusher.

This is $$$, hence the reason I give the combine little value. I'm looking for tough guys, guys who love the game, guys who play with heart AND have talent. A guy who looks soft but has measureables always concerns me.Senquez Golson. I'm of the opinion, I want the best football player, not the best physical specimen. No one really thought Matheui would be as great of a pro as he is but realistically he is one of the top 5 defensive backs in the entire league right now...he just does not guess wrong.
Being small isnt the handicap people make it out to be for a defensive back...Grant and Golson are both good players with elite athletic traits. Everyone wants a long corner in the way everyone wants a tall WR....but realistically a lot of tall WRs and CBs end up sucking. The few that dont are usually among the elite, but its not a big mans positionComment

He has country strength, theres no doubt about it.
I know what you are saying though....a lot of it had to do with him being the best player on the field and having to do everything on that sad, sad defense, a lot of it was raw technique (though he IS a natural bender and has raw explosion), and it also has to do with the sheer volume of snaps that he played as UK's defense was the field more than any SEC team I believe.
He wont make his money as a run defender, but hes going to be playing next to some seriously good ones too in Heyward. With the team moving heyward into more of a 4 technique and letting him and Tuitt get after the passer a bit more than in years past, having an explosive outside presence is going to be HUGE for the team.
I still like Jarvis a lot, he IS a good run defender and a try hard player....i actually think they will compliment each other very very well at the end of the day. They both have their work cut out for them, but really everything that jones lacks (bend, explosion, and size) Dupree has plenty of.Comment

Actually, yes, they did. His primary questions weren't about his height, but, about his off the field issues. I remember Deion Sanders was a HUGE supporter/promoter of his... When a HOF DB stamps you, you're stamped.

I know I'm missing something. I mean universally scouts seem to be drooling over Dupree. You could be right. He was missing some of that sudden pop that I look for in a linebacker. Hopefully, some technique issues can help him better leverage that strength. He has country strength, theres no doubt about it.

Grant in the 4th. I also like Holliman.
Sadly I am not sold on Dupree. Is he a solid tackler?....every tape I have seen, he doesn't use his arms well. I know, I am panicking.Comment
