    Trades in the first round?

The last few years more 1st rd trades seem to be happening. This year there could be a few in say the top 15-20. So there could be some guys not thought to be there for the Steelers. Some of the trades as I have heard and read could be for the top 2 RB's and 2nd maybe even a 3rd QB. Will any WR's cause any trading? Or maybe even a 3rd rb but I only see that after the Steelers pick. What surprises could you guys see happening?

The thing is, usually after the top ten it's a crap shoot. This year it might be more like the top 5.

"We" aren't talking about a lot of linemen as top ten picks but teams may feel different, same with gurley, perryman, Thompson.

A real shake up could be Leonard Williams falling to 5...gotta think a team would consider selling their soul for him eventually

I agree with this. In many years it seemed that when there was an unexpected run on a position, it was often OT. Remember 2008 when a run on tackles resulted in 8 being taken in the first round. Duane Brown was the 8th, and most prognosticators had him lasting into the third round.

Considering that many of the rankings that I've seen show no consensus on the top Olinemen, there is a good chance that different teams have some of the tackles ranked higher than others. A run on linemen could be what allows a pass rusher to fall to the Steelers at 22.

Enough of a run so that Waynes drops? I'm in.

Seriously though, I think that it is easier to grade pass rushers and build consensus than it is to do the same with linemen. Beyond the first 5 - Fowler, Ray, Gregory, Dupree, Beasley - there seems to be a big drop off nefore you get to OO, Harold, and then another drop to Golden, Preston Smith, Orchard etc.

I don't think that you get a run of pass rushers that see more than 5 go before #22. I can see 5 tackles before that happens, and/or 2 RBs.

I could see a RB being there at 22 that Cards or Cowboys covet and us making a small move back. The 22 to 24 move would get us a 5th rounder and perhaps a little more. If we go back 2 spots and still get "our guy" it may work out will for us.

I have thought for a while that Atlanta takes one of the pass rushers at 8, but what if they take the plunge on Georgia Bulldog Todd Gurley instead? Maybe Gordon goes to the Chargers at 17. Better chance of us getting a top pass rusher at 22 if two RBs go off the board before us.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Wonder how real the talk of the Chargers trading Rivers for #2 pick? If so what you expect the Titans to do at 17?

I'd say months ago that looked like an absolute certainty. Looks more likely a few could drop now

Titans need a safety or two and need a second pass rusher.

I think Whisenhunt stays at #2 and takes the best QB in the draft. Mariota. He needs a franchise QB. Don't think all this trading is gonna happen w/ Tenn.

I like Orakpo however he as we all know he is often injured. In 2014 he had .5 sacks in 2013 10 sacks and in 2012 only 1 sack. So it depends on health but he is a bit of a question mark. Morgan has 23 sacks in 5 years. He is not much of a pass rusher but he is a decent player.
Griffin is a 30 year old FS who has trouble in coverage.

I think they stick with mett, mariota isn't really a wiz QB and I think he's going to take long enough to develop to get the staff fired. You either trade the pick or take Leonard Williams.

Oh I know but they just invested top market money into those guys. Not sure they will look towards a pass rusher early.
