I'd be happy if it turned out as you've prognosticated. Or even if it went like you picked.

I just dont see it with Steven Nelson....hes a slot CB, he could have a william gay-like career which is great but hardly what the steelers need right now...they need an outside guy.
Love Odighizuwa and Hunter in 1-2 though, sadly they havent even been kind of linked to Odighizuwa so far which tells me he might not be on their radarComment

Steven Nelson can play, I like him a lot and he'd definitely make a great slot corner.
if the Steelers were to draft Kevin Johnson, Jalen Collins or Marcus Peters in the first as their outside guy and then Nelson in the third we would turn CB from a weakness into a position of strength...Comment

I agree on Nelson. I think he's a slot guy. And I think that would benefit us given the trend league wide toward the short/quick passing game. From what I've seen of him, I think he's ready to come in and play right away. Agree that we need a guy on the outside. But for now, I think we'll have to live with Tez, Gay, and Blake.I just dont see it with Steven Nelson....hes a slot CB, he could have a william gay-like career which is great but hardly what the steelers need right now...they need an outside guy.

Even though we need an outside corner, I thought the 2 LBs represented better value in the first 2 rounds vs any of the CBs that would likely be available.
I doubt OO will be the guy. But occasionally we pick someone off the radar, so keeping my fingers crossed if his health is ok.sigpicComment

Collins would be the scariest first round pick of all time.Steven Nelson can play, I like him a lot and he'd definitely make a great slot corner.

Nelson can play, but he's far from a sure thing. Not great long speed, marginal quickness and explosion, doesn't have much height or jumping ability...a lot of people like him but I think he's got an uphill battle ahead of him because he is physically limited. I don't mind the pass rusher in the first, just would rather take an outside corner like shaw or carter or even IEO, I look at IEO as a slot corner at worst but has legitimate outside potential that Nelson lacksComment
