    Shane Ray

I know I'm not alone with my deep desire for him to somehow magically fall to us. He is going to be a star and fits the mold perfectly. I have him going to the Jets and if not then, soon after. A prospect like him makes me even more pissed about Jones. That was one pick that we really needed to hit on and so far to me, he's been a bust. Ray will be a household name and he's the type of tweener/OLB that deserves a high pick, damnit Jones!!!!!! He better get healthy and producing before I lose all hope.

All the projections I've seen on Ray have him as middle to late first round. So he very well could be there when the Steelers are picking. But given the retirements of Polamalu and Taylor, don't you think it's likely that the Steelers will look to fortify the DB position with their first round pick?

While it is likely, the FO is certainly not bound to the position.

If Waynes is off the board and it's between Peters/K.Johnson vs Ray-it's Ray. I believe in this scenario the pick would be handed in quite quickly.

Based on their draft history, i think its quite clear that need is not the predominating factor in the Steelers draft decisions....unlike the Browns who always need a QB and always draft a QB.

How can a player be a bust that lost almost his entire sophomore season to injury? I'm sorry but continually reading this from people on this board is infuriating. Its also stupid. I really like Ray and Peters and would love to get a shot at either. Let's stop calling dudes a bust that haven't been given the opportunity to prove otherwise. If he comes out this season and plays terrible then bring out your label.

Hey, this is a message board! If someone wants to post their uninformed opinion and prematurely declare a player a bust, then that is their prerogative!!

Nobody has ever done that before and looked ridiculous (cough...Bustamalu...cough)...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Dont forget that Ben produced at the beginning of his professional career. So remember, draft picks hold more promise than any player who doesnt play up to your standards.

                    Ryan Shazier is a bust.

                    should have drafted CJ Mosley...

Wouldn't it be awesome if in 2015, the Steelers got a breakout season from Shazier AND J. Jones? Hey, let's throw in Tuitt and Cortez and Shamarko and McCullers while we're at it!

(On a side note, if someone were to use the term "breakout season" to speak of Cam Thomas, it would probably have an entirely different meaning!)

Who remembers people riding cam heyward? God forbid these guys learn how to play at a NFL level first before they start to flourish. Lose your season to injury? Tough....bust! How many players have the steelers drafted in the top 20 that they didn't hit on in the last 12-15 years?

If Shane Ray falls to mid teen Steelers might move up to draft him. Mike Tomlin likes Shane Ray. He may be the best 3-4 OLB in this draft.
