    Steelers Announce 2015 Preseason Schedule

    Steelers Announce 2015 Preseason Schedule
    Posted 4 hours ago

The Steelers will open the 2015 preseason schedule against the Minnesota Vikings on August 9, 2015 in the NFL/Hall of Fame Game.

The Steelers will host the Green Bay Packers in Week 2 at Heinz Field, and conclude its 2015 exhibition schedule at home against the Carolina Panthers in Week 4, marking the 13th consecutive year the two teams will meet in their preseason finale.

The Steelers will travel to face the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 1 and the Buffalo Bills in Week 3.

Kickoff for the Steelers vs. Vikings NFL/Hall of Fame Game is set for 8 p.m. on August 9, 2015. This will mark the sixth time the Steelers have played in the NFL/Hall of Fame Game and the first time since 2007. The game will be televised nationally on NBC’s Sunday Night Football and broadcast nationally on radio by Westwood One Sports.

The Steelers’ final four preseason games will be televised locally on KDKA-TV. Times and dates for these games have not been finalized.

The following is a look at the Steelers’ 2015 preseason schedule:

Hall of Fame Game vs. Minnesota Vikings NBC-TV
WEEK 1 at Jacksonville Jaguars KDKA-TV
WEEK 2 vs. Green Bay Packers KDKA-TV
WEEK 3 at Buffalo Bills KDKA-TV
WEEK 4 vs. Carolina Panthers KDKA-TV
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Is there a determining factor regarding how bye weeks are scheduled for the regular season?

Teams that play games in London get their bye the following week, but other than that, I don't think there is any concrete reason for why they give certain teams early byes vs. late byes.

Doesn't being in the HoF Game let us start training camp ahead of everyone else?????

Yeah...teams with new head coaches start OTA's earlier, but teams in the HoF game open training camp earlier.

5 preseason games is a bit much. I don't mind playing the HOF game early, but perhaps the NFL could then give the team a week off from preseason games (like week 1 or 2). On the plus side, our young players will get lots of extra PT. Of course a few of them will probably go down with unnecessary injuries as well.
Even if Bill Belichick was getting an atomic wedgie, his face would look exactly the same.

If you are a rookie or UDFA you would have a very different view of 5 games given that you will get more time on the field to build your case and film resume.
