    You know....

Given that he's received very little FA interest, would it REALLY be such a bad idea to offer Jake Long a 1 year contract, see if that injury bug has passed? I mean, if fit....can you imagine what he could do for the OL?
The people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off, why should I?

I kind of feel like our OLine has really come together. If healthy he is definitely an upgrade on either side. Wouldnt be a bad pick up, because if he dosent work out we should still be in good shape.

I would like to see it because I'm not sold on either tackle. Balt.always dominate their edges.

It's that secondary that worries me. Offense is really gelling.

I'll pass. The 5 up front are playing well as a unit. Don't mess with it.

Obviously 32 NFL teams already don't see him as their starting LT this season.
So what's wrong with bringing him in for depth??

I would have no problem kicking the tires. In 13 we had his brother in camp.

There has to be a reason nobody has been interested in signing him, we just arent aware of that reason.

The only weak spot on the line is Foster, who still plays well enough and while hes been much maligned but steelers fan hes a good player. Probably not the best schematic fit and probably the position they would likely address first but the oline in general is good and borderline on very good.

Imo Pouncey was a top 3 center last year, Beachum was suprisingly a top 10 LT, Gilbert played well outside of 2 games, Decastro was an absolutely crushing run blocker, probably a top 15 guard in the league and has a chance to sky rocket up that list if he becomes more disciplined in pass protection.

Not saying I wouldnt like Jake Long on the team, but he doesnt seem to have much left in the tank...where do you put him? Definitely not at LT
