    Bud Dupree

So according to ESPN, Tomlin, Keith Butler, and Porter were all present at Kentucky's pro day. Would love to see the Steelers pick up this kid with the 22nd pick (goodness knows we need help at OLB).

I dont think so, little raw, not the most natural pass rusher but hes a good player.

If he doesnt stick as a pass rusher I could see him thriving in a LEO role, something like Adalius Thomas

the only concerning thing i have read is that he is slow to diagnose plays

having insane measurables doesn't translate if you have trouble understanding whats happening out on the field

that said, i would take him if he is there. too much potential at a position of need

If it's between Dupree and a guy like Kevin Johnson, that would be pretty tough...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Id struggle with it, Id struggle even more if you add in Odighizuwa and Marcus Peters

Dupree reminds me of Ansah on the lions, freakish athletic but played on a real bad team and it didnt really always show on tape.

Lebeau would have married Ansah I think fwiw (although I know around here Lebeau's opinion means nothing because he knows nothing about defense)

Id probably prefer Odighizuwa over Dupree, but Peters over Johnson for sure if peters checks out. I think Johnson is the 3rd best corner but Peters could make a case for 1

If the Steelers can snag a CB in FA, I'm good with them going back-to-back pass rushers in Rounds 1 & 2. Preston Smith in Round 2 to play on the line, or standing up, plus a guy like Dupree or Harold..
The people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off, why should I?

                      Light up the darkness.

Same for me as far as OO (I'm not even going to try to remember how to spell his name) over Dupree. Still like Peters over the other CBs

I'm the exact opposite. Dupree rounds out my top tier of pass rushers, while Owa starts the next tier. A couple of hip surgeries pushes him into round 2 for me. And I still want no part of Peters with a prime pick. I only make risky picks like that on day 3.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

I need to do some more homework on Dupree because my initial assessment had him as a middle/late second talent. I didn't see what the scouts were seeing. Willing to go back and see if he looks more explosive than he did in my initial notes.

his problem is uncertainty of assignments. he's explosive when he knows where he's going. but, typically, he has some reservations and is a half-step slow. you watch a game and every so often, he'll make you shake your head with an insanely athletic play.
