Just saw Darren McFadden is a ufa

He is injury prone, but he is a much better option than deangelo williams, imo. He is not old yet and could find new life here for cheap.
Even if Bill Belichick was getting an atomic wedgie, his face would look exactly the same.

There's cheap and then there's cheap. The Steelers are looking for the later, hence DeAngelo Williams.

    I'd prefer McFadden also.

just sign a undrafted FA RB that fits your need after the draft. The RB position is the easiest of all positions as far as learning....why sign a aging RB that wont last 30 carries

Darren McFadden's rushing average for the last 3 seasons: 3.4, 3.3, 3.3. Darren McFadden sucks.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Injuries have really destroyed his explosion and confidence, kind of like fellow razorback felix jones....bush would be a better signing.

It is just sooo much easier to draft a RB in the late rounds if you dont want to use a top 4 pick on one

Poor numbers but he wasn't exactly playing with a good OL in front of him. His health is a red flag for me but Williams isn't exactly a picture of health either. In a perfect world, Reggie Bush would be a Steeler (but we know that won't happen).

peeeyew!! He was fast. That's it. He's old and isn't any more.

He isn't even in DeAngelo's league at this point - and the sad thing is, DeAngelo is sub-par.

ok. didn't know that he has sucked lately. thanks.

i really don't watch other nfl teams other than the steelers and falcons (my son's team). college football is way more interesting.

though, other than l. murray (whose small sample size is boosted by a few big runs in just a few games). Most backs suck in Oakland the last three years.

Cowboys agree to two-year deal with Darren McFadden pending a physical.

Jerry gets the Arkansas product he always coveted, though he has been stripped of all of his explosion he is still the second best QB the cowboys have

Jerry Jones is an Arkansas guy who overdrafted Razorback RB Felix Jones when he couldn't get Razorback RB Darren McFadden in the draft that year.

Felix Jones will be at the veteran combine...Jerry should bring him back too. Also, Peyton Hillis is a free agent as well. He could reunite the Arkansas backfield from a decade ago!

Cowboys sign RB Darren McFadden (2 years, $5.85M; $200K bonus): B Grade

If this were truly a 2-year, $5.85 million contract, the Cowboys would get some sort Millen-kielbasa "F" grade. We reported last winter that Darren McFadden was expected to stay with the Raiders for one more season because the team offered him a new workout regimen to keep him healthy. Well, it worked, as McFadden didn't get hurt in 2014. Unfortunately, he looked completely done. Showing no burst whatsoever, McFadden mustered just 3.4 yards per carry.

So, why the "B" grade? It's because this is a risk-free signing with at least some upside. All the Cowboys are giving McFadden is a $200,000 signing bonus. If he doesn't show any sort of improvement, they can just cut him without losing anything outside of that bonus. With that in mind, McFadden is at least worth a shot. He was considered one of the league's most-explosive running backs a couple of seasons ago, and now he'll have an excellent offensive line paving the way for him. There's definitely a chance he'll rebound - he'll only be 28 this summer, after all - which will make Jerry Jones thrilled because he has always coveted the former Razorback.
