Steelers to play in the Hall of Fame Game vs. Minnesota

Steelers, Vikings will meet in Hall of Fame Game

The Steelers and Vikings will kick off the 2015 preseason in the Hall of Fame Game.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced today that the annual Hall of Fame Game will feature Pittsburgh and Minnesota on Sunday, August 9. The NFL typically puts teams in the Hall of Fame Game that have players entering the Hall of Fame that weekend, and that’s the case again this year: Former Steelers running back Jerome Bettis and former Vikings center Mick Tingelhoff will be inducted.

The game will be played at Canton’s Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, named for the Saints owner who has donated millions to the Hall of Fame (and whose millions are now the subject of a nasty court battle between his current wife and his daughter and grandchildren from a previous wife).

Playing in the Hall of Fame Game means the Steelers and Vikings will each get five preseason games. The rest of the preseason schedule will be released in the spring.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Thinking about doing the road trip but never been there. Anyone care to share their Canton experience?

I've been to the Hall of Fame several times and enjoy it. I keep going back to bring people who have never been there before. I took my father there once, my son there once, my brother there once, a couple of friends there once each, etc. I haven't been there since they renovated it a few years ago, though, so I am due to return soon. I've never been there for the Hall of Fame game or an actual induction ceremony, though. I would imagine that the museum itself would be so packed during that weekend that it would be very difficult to navigate around and soak everything in.

Thanks Ruthless appreciate it. Long way off but I'm thinking it over.

            Hello:
I've been there a few times and really enjoy the experience. Love to read about and see the exhibits. It was really great after the Steelers was Super Bowl #6 and see the 6 Lombardi trophies.

I live about 45 minutes away and requested that weekend off and plan on going. Wanted to be there for the Induction of DL but couldn't get off to go.

It would be great if the Planetsteelers group could do a meet & greet there.
