Thats one of those calls where you out think yourself and lose the game. Not the first time its happened and it most definitely will not be the last.

It is easy to question the call. As if the Patriots* didn't also know that Marshawn would get the ball. The play was sound--picks often work there, and especially considering everyone (Collinsworth) and their grandmother assumed Lynch would get the rock... the guy just made a play.

I hope the Seattle o-coordinator likes warm temperatures because hes about to get barbecued.

I am absolutely sick to my stomach. One handoff to Lynch and the Pats lose. How in the world do you make that call.

shoe.... that was a horrible call.

I could see if the Pats had shown they could stop Lynch but he was, never tackled for a loss.

IMO this was Pete Carroll trying to get RW a game winning TD instead of giving it to the controversial RB who wouldn't give a good post game interview.

That call will go down as one of the worst calls ever in a SB.

That's the equivalent of having the Bus on the 2 yd line and not giving him the chance to run somebody over. NE rarely stopped Lynch for no gain the entire game. Media will have a field day with this one.

The pats also made a questionable call after Lynch ran for 4 yards to the 1 yard line. IMO, they should have called a TO and on the next play allow Lynch to score. You have to think with the clock running like it did that the Hawks would run Lynch with 21 seconds, if he scores great, it leaves the Pats about 20 seconds. If he doesn't score you call timeout and talk about the next two plays to win the game. I was really surprised that the Pats didn't stop the clock and allow the score, then try to win or at least tie with about 43 seconds and Tom Brady on your team.

Pete Carroll's decision was the worst though.

That Wilson is not a good QB. In fact, a bad one. He plays next year, pretty much sucks, then he's Dilfer territory. He should never have been as far a this.

I believe they had 3 downs, 30-some seconds, and two timeouts...the *'s hadn't stopped Lynch for a loss all game...
You run the ball twice, and if they push you back a few yards, then maybe try a pass on 4th down... But they hadn't stopped Lynch for a loss ALL GAME!

I'd rather the Steelers lose out to the Rats the way they did than to go to the Super Bowl and lose like Seattle just did. It must suck to be a Seahag fan tonight.

So the pats win 4 SBs with a total margin of 13 points.

Now we'll have to hear forever how they were motivated by deflategate.

I predict that their performance next year in bad weather will return to normal levels.
