Mitchell played all season with a "torn groin"

Really? So conveniently put after a terrible game and a season ending loss. What a joke. This is almost as bad as Limas Sweed wincing in pain after his dropped ball because he was embarrassed.

If it is true then shame on Tomlin for playing him after he was obviously playing like ass the entire season. I guess Shamarko/Will Allen isn't good enough to play over a guy with a torn groin

Well maybe Shamarko still trying to learn the play book. They can't sign good FA nor they can develop players in draft.

Tuitt and Bryant had good years for rookies. Cam Thomas was Craigslist. Mike Mitchell was Ebay. Neither represented the pics online. But Moats, Blake, McCain (this yr or last?), Moore, and Wing were good investments for the most part imo.

Yes, for what was out there, I did not have a problem with Wing's punting this year. He did have some hiccups but not enough to behead Marie Antoinette.

I did way wing and some wang chung tonite.

Good riddance to Mike Mitchell, as poor a free-agent signing as Tomlin and Kevin Colbert have made. And shame on him for describing after this game a groin injury that he claimed hampered him all season. The issue has been known since October, and if it isn’t enough to keep one off the field, it isn’t an excuse. Besides, groins don’t prevent intelligent positioning or functional tackling. That’s $20 million the Steelers don’t need to waste the next four years. This is DK's take on this from his site, and it's spot on.

Now I get it. When Mitchell is shown jumping up and down screaming after plays, its not because hes an @$$hole. Its because is flippin groin hurts.

I've gotten good stuff off ebay and craigslist!

Our draft looks really good. I hope Bryant keeps his head on straight (doesn't let his head get big). I hope he's the strong, silent type (i.e. John Stallworth-like). Shazier, if he stays healthy, will be a force (he flies around the field; you can see it). I still have hope for guys like Zumwalt next year to be contributors. We couple it with a few more in this draft, and we will be right in the thick of things... get the next Heath, or (of course) a top-flight CB.
I wasn't hired for my disposition.

Lets not forget Dri Archer. If anyone can save this team, it's Dri ! I'm surprised they won't rename the Lombardi trophy in Tomlins honor after such a crafty, heads up move for signing this Super Star Dri. Yes, this team has really showed what it has been capable of with the likes of Dri, Cortez Allen, Cam Thomas, Mike Mitchell, Wing. Not to mention their number one and higher draft picks that can't make it on the field. I'm happy for a bunch of underachievers that won the division but, last night they needed better talent and better coaches.

Ravens with a glued together secondary, two rookie o-linemen and a team that looked weak at best before last night. Just have a bottle of " Steeler Fix " Any problems your team has will go away with one dose of Steeler Fix.

The Ravens also had a lot of zebra help.

Besides, I don't know why you would complain about Archer. He actually scored (though it was, of course, called back).
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Mike Mitchell had shoulder, hand surgeries

After his team’s season ended with a playoff loss to the Broncos, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said that safety Mike Mitchell would be one of several players having offseason surgery.

Tomlin said Mitchell needed surgery on his left shoulder, but that turned out to be only half the story. Mitchell also had surgery on his left hand, which was wrapped when he was spotted in Pittsburgh on Friday.

Mitchell’s response to a question about whether he’ll be ready for the start of offseason workouts indicated that all will be well when it is time to get back to work.

“If I was any better, I’d be you,” Mitchell said, via the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

Mitchell is one of the few regulars from the Pittsburgh defensive backfield under contract for the 2016 season. Fellow starting safety Will Allen, backup safety Robert Golden and three cornerbacks are all set to become free agents.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
