    This lose is on the.....

Coaches overall, Defense Second, and being prepared \ execution third.

The coaches failed again to have this team ready. I believe, we have the talent to win even though
    some need to retire.
Why do we wait to the end of the game for urgency? We will never win any playoff game playing
like we did the first half.

So whatever, practice they had, they should have doubled it for starters!!!

This loss is on Ben period. I know he is some of the fans hero, but he have stunk the last three stadiums up. Followed by the vaunted DL, who can you allow a Qb all day and decide to only rush four more times than not.

Completely agree. Ben is in a slump and cost us this game. Lebeau once again seemed surprised by what New Orleans would do and had no answer to stop Brees.

Yep... he has been HORRIBLE vs bad teams this year.

If anyone wants to know why we struggle to beat bad teams look at our QB during those losses.

The D stinks as well... I'm sick of hearing about how great and under appreciated Ike is on this D. Our D looked better without Ike and Troy.

Dulac's grade from Pgh Post Gazette:

          Coaching:

Given extra time off from the off week and facing a team that had lost three in a row and was coming off a Monday night game apparently was not enough for the Steelers. Sure, the Saints were probably better than their 4-7 record coming in, but the reality is that’s three losses this season to teams that had a combined 5-18 record at the time. That’s the type of futility that has been the Steelers’ signature the past three seasons.

That's the easy way out, Haley had several plays that had players open and what does our 100 MIL Qb do??? Throw high and off all game.

                  Failed to have Ben ready?

Sorry.. not buying that one. Ben is who he is and we have to live or die by his play. That's just the way it is until we get another QB who doesn't have 2 rings and all types of records.

Do you think Haley and the rest of the coaching staff were teaching Ben to throw high during the bye. This is on Ben not the offensive coaches. Ben was woefully inaccurate. Now if you want to blame coaches look of the defensive side of the ball and the lame game plan in place to be passive.

The only questionable call on offense was Dri run on second and short, the play design was there Ben just was horrible. D was another story.

is it really this hard to get a small fast guy out in space before getting him the ball?

I think it was a mistake drafting him. A 3rd round corner would look real good about now. Philip Gaines looked good for KC.

I don't think that I have ever made a post on this site stating that Ben completely cost us a game - but yesterday the Steelers win if he plays even a bit better. He missed open receivers early on when it mattered. His first pick was a bad decision. He was not good - PERIOD. He only racked up some numbers after the game was beyond hope. He did not cost us this game alone, but he was easily the number one reason. All other culprits must stand in line behind Ben.

Yep but the haters would say it's all Tomlin fault, but the eye says Ben been terrible for three weeks straight. I'm glad Bell saved us two weeks ago because the fans would have Tomlin head on a platter and not the real culprits. Ben and DL.
