On that first scoring drive Thomas was on the nose and was walled off by one man easily on all those runs up the gut. That they even think he could remotely resemble a competent nose tackle is an indictment of the coaching staff.

He's our most physically gifted lineman perhaps outside of Heyward. He's being forced into an overly complex, antiquated system. That's why we need a new staff with a fresh perspective on the talent. When young players think too much, they struggle.
How complex is it to line up and defend the run. Tuitt and Thomas got parted like the Red Sea on the big Ingram drive in the 2nd. Then inside the 10 Tuitt and MCCullers got parted like the Red Sea.

Cam Thomas may be one of the worst FA signings of all time. He could be cut today and it wouldn't make a bit of difference. Just blown back play after play.

2-gap vs. 1-gap. Let the young men put a hand on the ground and steam through the hole and blow up the backfield, not titty joust defending two gaps and worrying about getting cut blocked.

Not arguing, but do you think it would have made a difference if they'd been getting consistent playing time all year? Seems as if a few snaps here and there don't have them prepared to play against vet o-linemen.

This, too. Tuitt and McCullers are on Shamarko's three year plan.

And again, Josh Mauro played 22 snaps in his first game for the Cardinals. Do you think he learned their entire defensive system in one day, or perhaps did they figure out what he does well and let him play football without thinking?

We watched different Tuiit, because I thought he was good.

Troy is a shell of his former self.
Maybe after todays game the coaches realize this and adjust accordingly...
                    Yeah riiiight...LOL

Did Shamarko get on the field today? I know he has hammy issues and was inactive vs. the Titans. He dressed for the game today though. He plays so little there is no way to even know if he can be Troy's replacement.

Mauro has one tackle and one assist today in a losing effort to the Falcons (Cards down by 19)...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Right now a tackling dummy can replace Troy and be more effective. They'd have to run around the dummy. Troy's busy running around like a chicken with its head cut off, and is usually nowhere near the play and can be safely ignored.

                            what's your point?

Maybe you can address the steelers DE depth with all your wisdom

                              He's better than Cam Thomas.
