What's new? They've been doing this unsuccessfully for donkey's years. Its been a Lebeau staple since the early 2000s. Remember Mike Vick completing a 3rd and 24?. Why break old habits?

If there's one team in the entire NFL that you really want on the other side if you're facing 3rd and 24, its the steelers. 10 yard cushions, no QB pressure, and the CBs and safeties backpedal, the idea being to try to make sure you dont get too many yards *after* the catch. They don't particularly care where you catch it.

I definitely agree with the lack of pressure.
On the other hand the lack of fundamentals on this defense is very serious

This is the worst secondary in 10 years since the days of Chad Scott. You only rush 4 bc your DBs are the worst unit in the NFL.

Different thinking I guess, because I say you bring more pressure since the back end suck someone's back end.

But...but...LeBeau always produces top D's. He is a legend.

True. Steelers played better D with the young guys in there. More pressure from the front seven.

Its time he became a bona fide legend and retired from service, so to speak.

We wish him another quarter century of healthy and happy life, but please let the Steelers D move on.

Agreed. He is the only coaching move I would make in the offseason. But, I suspect he will be with the Steelers for at least another 5 seasons.

There isn't a coach in Canton who could make our current secondary look good as sad as that is to say.

Or they'll promote Butler and it will be status quo. LeBeau, Butler, and Mitchell all must go. We need to design a system around the players we have, not the other way around.

Agreed. I'm concerned that Butler will be more of the same too.

Tomlin's a 4-3 guy and he's the head coach. It's time to make this his team.

According to PFR, this is only the second time in
#Steelers' history of allowing 7+ yards per play 3 times in a season. 1947 was other.

Steelers allowed 7.8 to Indy, 8.0 to Tennessee, and 7.3 today against the Saints. #Steelers
