My week 13 predictions - AFC playoff picture

    In the AFC East:

    Packers beat NE (9-3)
the Bills over the Browns at home (7-5)
Miami just barely gets past the Jets (7-5)

    AFC North:

    Steelers handle the Saints (8-4)
Baltimore easier than you thought it should be over the Chargers (8-4)
    Cincy cruises over Tampa (8-3-1)
and, of course, Buffalo already beat Cleveland (7-5)

    AFC West:

KC tops Denver in primetime (both teams tied at 8-4)
SD was sent packing by Baltimore (7-5)

    AFC South:

Both Indy (8-4), and Houston (6-6) win without breaking a sweat.

Not much different than expected, but the West tightens up, and the North continues to roll for the most part.

In this crazy NFL, I could pick the exact opposite for every game, and would have pretty much the same likelihood of getting as many games correct, though.

One thing that the NFL did screw up this weekend...all 6 teams playing on Thanksgiving are NFC teams. I don't care about NFC teams. It would be nice to have a rooting interest in at least one of the Turkey Day games, but no...
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Usually the NFL makes an effort to include AFC teams...if only because CBS has the AFC TV rights and those are determined by the away team...

In fact, I believe that this is the only year with ALL NFC teams on the Thanksgiving slate...

How about New Orleans' record coming off a Monday Night home loss?

There are other factors. Teams that travel after a Monday night game and are hosted by a team off of a bye lose 20% more often as well...
