I think that 10-6 gets you in this year, and keeps others out. Just have to make sure that you have the tie-break against the other 10-6 teams. If the Steelers win their three home games and lose on the road, other 10-6 possibilities include:
Both Buffalo and Miami will have to go 4-1. Miami (Jets x 2, Baltimore, @NE, Min) Buff (Cle, @Den, GB, @Oak, @NE)
Both Baltimore and Cleveland go 3-2 - and they play each other in Baltimore the final week of the season. Balt (SD, @Mia, Jax, @Hou, Cle) and the Browns (@Buf, Indy, Cin, @Car, @Bal)
Houston is the only South team who can reach 10, and loses H2H against the Steelers.
KC and the Chargers would also have to go 3-2, however, the Chiefs play a game in Pittsburgh, and a Steeler win gives the Steelers the H2H. SD (@Bal, NE, Den, @SF, @KC) tough schedule KC (Den, @Ari, Oak, @Pit, SD) also pretty tough
Based on this breakdown, I'd say that the two easiest schedules - and the best chances to make it to 10-6 - belong to Pittsburgh and Baltimore. Both East teams have a higher mountain to climb, and both play in NE. The two West teams have pretty brutal schedules compared to the North teams, and Cleveland has three road games, and their home games are Indy and Cincy.
Also, let us not forget that Cincinnati finishes with three tough games on the road against Pitt and Cleveland, and home to Denver. There is a chance for them to go 2-3 down the stretch and watch the division slip away.
It was also tight when Jax beat the Browns, Cincy tied the Panthers and when we smashed the Rats.
There comes a time when you have to stop whining about the past.
The haters have to hold on to something when things are going in the right direction.
