    Coaching, etc.

This past Saturday night while scrolling down my Facebook page, I noticed a few entries by our #84 Antonio Brown and just thought to myself that this is 'weird for a Saturday night'. The 1st entry was a picture of him and JJ, along with a 3rd guy I did not recognize. They were obviously out shopping somewhere... Then a short time later, there was another picture that he posted of Plexico Burress & kids along with AB in what looks like a photo from the hotel hallways...

Now we all know that the team was visited by that Justin Bieber dude. Fast forward to today.. I just heard a commentary on the fan 93.7 that discussed why in the world was a guy like Bieber hanging out with this team on the night before a game anyways? Why? Why was it allowed? Now I know these guys are grown men and can pretty much do what they want, but come on. They aren't on vacation. they are away on business and it should be treated that way. When a team is away, they are to be in the hotel preparing for the upcoming game and supposedly aren't to have visitors! The time on AB's photo posted to FB was somewhere around 7:30pm. The Burress photo was later than that.

Now, go back a few years.... when Haley was photographed with his wife out at the hotel's bar/ restaurant having a drink with his wife...

This makes no sense to me... All of this, I would definitely put on the coaching and who is in charge.........

Now on the radio they are discussing why Harrison was on the goal line in some of those plays on Sunday.... Ben says one thing, the coach says something else......... WTF...

These guys are very wealthy grown ups not college freshmen. They probably have a great deal of latitude on how they spend their off hours to relax even before a game. Probably a better solution than locking them down.
"My team, may they always be right, but right or wrong...MY TEAM!"

It would be interesting how the Steelers typically spend the night before a home game vs. on the road. The Steelers have significant road woes that seem to go beyond the fan base. In NY, the crowd was at least 50-50 if not 60-40 with the Steelers having the edge. To struggle on the road even taking out factors like crowd noise is curious.

In the player's defense: you just have to have down-time.

I'm a grade-school teacher. And I like my job. And I can always spend more time doing things for my job/work. But after work ends, it is difficult to motivate yourself to focus on school stuff. I always bring work home with me. And maybe half the time, I don't even look at it. Further, there are tons of school functions (social nights, fundraiser nights) that I have no interest in going to. In the NFL, I would imagine it is much the same.

The only problem I would have, is going out drinking, club, etc. on the night before the game.
I wasn't hired for my disposition.

Nothing new, when Cowher was coaching I went to a club Fri. Night and seen Ben along with other stars out late till about 3 am. And they had the division title on the line vs the Bengals and laid an egg. And I'm sure every team does it.

I believe the night before a game the players meet with the media at the hotel.

I think they are free to do whatever with curfews of course. If you have a 1pm game I am sure you have a team breakfast and a meeting with your coaches.

If Antonio Brown wants to go out the night before with Plaxico Burress or whoever it's really not a big deal as long as he doesn't break curfew.
