Still wanna make the case Pouncey is GREAT?

    PASS THE BALL!!!

There is no need to impose our will or try to be who we aren't. We are a passing team and we keep trying to run the ball for some stupid reason.
We have perhaps the most powerful back in the league in Blount
Given the smallest crease Bell will find it.

Pouncey and Decastro are BEASTS on our interior line? Really?

How come NOBODY ON THIS BOARD thinks we can "impose our will" on a defense if they are so great?

We have BELL AND BLOUNT and have THREE total rushing touchdowns?

This team has ZERO short yardage rush touchdowns of 5 yards or less.

And you want to give up trying?

Maybe so but don't try to sell me on the myth that Pouncey and Decastro are some great tandem if you are scared to score what SHOULD BE EASY touchdowns 1st and 10 inside the five.

Big yardage on play action when nobody knows what's coming is one thing.

You wanna be a great interior line? Can you at least move people enough so that what is potentially the best interior running tandem in the league is not stuffed at the goal line EVERY TIME WE TRY?

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

Maybe because Blount would rather run sideways instead of straight. But neither player is all that great.

I don't think Pouncey is a problem, but i am having doubts about DeCastro. He just seems to small to me. And when I watch him play, I'm not all that impressed here of late.

I understand that the Jets have a stout defensive line, but I was pretty shocked that they didn't attempt a sneak with the ball inches from the goal line and a 250 lb qb. The outside run to Blount also made no sense.

how many times has Ben successfully punched the ball in from the 1?

he struggles to get a yard just like everyone else.

why not throw the ball up to Bryant since the DL was packed in the middle?

Pouncey and DeCastro have had exactly two dominant games this season. Other than that they have been generally average. Foster and Beachum have struggled quite a bit too. This line is not that great and they don't get a consistent push (especially in short yardage).
Even if Bill Belichick was getting an atomic wedgie, his face would look exactly the same.

CL WTF happened to you? You are a much better poster then this crap lately. They are good maybe great passing O line men. Athletic and fit. Not FAT POWERFUL road graders. See Willie Colon yesterday for a road grader. And at times even the best come up against players that whip there ass. Also Blount is NOT a true power runner. He seems to need a hole not a cress. True POWER backs make there own freaking holes. See Marshawn Lynch. Todays RB's even big powerful ones try to dance/move to much. Hit the cress HARD and punish people. I do not see that from Blount. Not sure if Bell can be a true "straight" ahead runner. He does a very nice job finding a cress. But takes time doing so and does not punish people. He slips through most times. Not sure how this O line played so well against Carolina's front run blocking and opening BIG holes for the backs? You guys can smash me for this all you want. But I would really try Archer more goal line. He can at least turn the corner or is a threat to turn the corner. There is a reason the trick play to AB was run against the Texans.

Carolina isn't that good this year and they are missing their best DL in Hardy. There is a reason we only seen those big holes in 1 game this year.

MY wife watched some of the game and even she pointed out that Bell is dancing too much. Her exact words: "why is he wiggling while running? Why doesn't he make one move and run real fast through the hole like other RB's do when you watch other games?"

I like Bell but sometimes his style prevents him from getting to the second level.

                    Thats one play.
And Blount "would rather" run straight, he has his whole career.......until now.

My problem is why are the same fans who LUV Pouncey scared to "impose our will" period? Getting stuffed at the goal line should be the exception not a forgone conclusion. Dizz was not talking one play, he was complaining about a pattern of running futility inside the five. Why?

I don't think it's fair to blame one guy on our OL for our run woes...

Pouncey has always been considered great but I don't think it has anything to do with his GL play...

Ben is also considered great and he isn't considered great inside the RZ.

Being great doesn't mean you don't have holes in your game.

Last season Bell had SEVEN touchdowns ALL within 5 yards. No Pouncey.

This year THE ENTIRE TEAM has zero short yardage run touchdowns WITH POUNCEY and you think we need to stop trying while making the case that Pouncey is a great player.

My point is not that we can impose our will Dizz. It is that YOU as Pouncey backer supreme should be the last person to think we can't impose our will.

This is such a weird argument.

Pouncey's ability to get to the second level is what makes him great IMO. I never said having Pouncey would solve our GL woes... WTF? Did Pouncey get blown up on the GL? I'm not sure but you make it seem like he is the reason we can't score. Not sure how you can point to one man as the reason we did or didn't score a TD on the GL.

Maybe if we put Bell in instead of Blount and Harrison we would have scored?
