Watching the rewind, I was struck that (offensive fireworks notwithstanding) it was a *defensive* play (interception) that started the turn from what looked like a loss into a rout.

Also was reminded of another fantastic defensive play - the goal-line stuff we put on them on their 2-point attempt. A thing of beauty!

We got our "6-PACK" - time to work on a CASE!

HERE WE GO STEELERS, HERE WE GO!

Agree SASF. While McCain gave up the early TD, his grabbing the loose ball caused by Moats was the key turning point. Funny how fans complained that a single bad play by the Steeler's offense turned early games against them and could not recover. Meanwhile you could argue this very thing seemed to happen to BAL. Just goes to show how very evenly matched NFL teams are and it doesn't really take much to tip the scales one way or the other.

Dominique Franks goes from starter to cut in Baltimore

Posted by Michael David Smith on November 4, 2014

On Sunday, cornerback Dominique Franks started for the Ravens against the Steelers. On Tuesday, Franks was cut.

The Ravens announced the departure of Franks less than 48 hours after he was a key contributor to the defensive meltdown that saw Ben Roethlisberger throw six touchdown passes in Pittsburgh’s blowout win over Baltimore.

Franks was the second cornerback cut by the Ravens today. Chykie Brown was also released.

The Ravens promoted undrafted rookie cornerback Tramain Jacobs from the practice squad to the active roster and claimed cornerback Danny Gorrer off waivers. At the moment, Jacobs, Gorrer and Lardarius Webb are the only healthy cornerbacks on the roster.

The last touchdown by Spaeth, I know they called it a td and I didn't see the replay but, during the actual speed of the game, looked like his knee was on the ground before he crossed the goal line. Was this a controversy call ?

I thought maybe so too but whos complaining?
Now it would be awful if the media takes hold of this and tries to invalidate BBs 12 TD accomplishment despite the fact that the final result can never be changed.

Not to me...Way to close to call. It looked like 1/3 of his body and all of the ball were across before his knee hit.

Bad angles on the TV so no way to second guess the GL ref. (he was staring directly at Spaeth as he crossed the line)

You could have said the same thing about AB's reversed TD a few weeks ago...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

yup, I thought both of those plays were inconclusive thus they should have been upheld as called on the field...

My thought too about AB's td. Pretty soon they will take everything out of the refs hands except the flag throwing.

Nope... it was too close to call. It looked like his knee hit at the same time the ball crossed the front of the chalk.

Wouldn't have mattered. They had a 1st down at the 2 and would have scored.
