Never pay for stats, only for players....

Kinda makes the following stats accrued in 2 1/2 games seem a lil less "Bustlike" eh?

      2 Sacks
      1 Forced Fumble
      1 Stuff
      0 Passes Defensed

I'll bet Worilds wishes he had signed that long-term contract now...

Sanders is having a hell of game with 3 td's so far, steelers always lets the good ones go

Its easy to rack up TDs in a Peyton offense. The new CBA makes it impossible to keep all your good players. Also remember a lot of people on here didn't like Sanders because he celebrated and dropped a few tough passes.

I still don't mind the move to tag Worilds. Yeah, he's overpaid this year, but I like that we are only on the hook for one year, and are able to determine whether he was a half year wonder last year or the real deal.

At this point, it looks like a good move, as we won't be stuck in a long term contract with him. On the bad side, we're going to be looking for an OLB again next year, unless someone changes positions.

And ran wrong routes, and generally was an underachiever. He's the 3rd WR in Peyton's offense - he's going to put up numbers.

Or unless they go 4-3, then there are plenty of LBs with Shazier, Timmons, Spence, and JJ.

He wasn't an underachiever. .. he is a solid #3 WR.

If it's Worilds? Yes, as a starting OLB for this team, he has not been playing up to the level of his compensation.

However, I thought Worilds was "only" making $9 million.

Signing Worilds was because we had few options at OLB with the collapse of Woodley's career and the slow development of J Jones. While its easy to second guess the signing, Worilds actually showed very well in the Texans game and was really pushing the pocket. Also, let's not forget that there is no threat from the Right OLB position which is the primary pass rushing position in our defense. As a result, our opponents can focus on Worilds. That said, he needs to do much more and let's hope he has a strong second half of the season.

I totally agree. We got out cheap. They overpaid the man to find out what they had...without sinking 50 million into him.
