Not at all. However, what I wrote is what I meant. And that was that their 5 game win streak was not accomplished against the top tier of NFL teams and that they are 1-2 against playoff caliber teams. Looking at their schedule is that even debatable? I mean those are "FACTS" that lead me to say "I'm not saying that we will win this game, but I'm also not in the camp that thinks the Colts are some unbeatable juggernaut ...."So the Colts beating teams they should is frowned upon but us losing to teams we should beat is acceptable? Colts beat us silly on Sunday and we are back to the standard under Tomlin which is .500. Hang on boys this could get ugly Sunday. The line would be worse but Fitzpatrick gave us 21 points on Monday.
Further, I fail to see where I mentioned that "us losing to teams we should beat is acceptable" in my analysis. Can you please point that out for me? Because if I did, I was wrong. If I didn't, then you have misconstrued what I wrote (purposely?).Comment

I am sure it has occurred to a few of you that should the Steelers win this weekend, they will have the same record as Indy.
Does that mean Steelers=Indy?
That's pretty bold considering some fans consider the Steelers a less than average team this season.Comment

I considered us below average before the Texans game.
I consider us average right now..
If and when we beat the Colts we will be slightly above average.
I'm labeling this team game by gameSteelers 27

I almost agree with everything except just this game....if we come out running to much we will get stopped...and if defense doesn't hurry or get to luck yep , that will be it...What is going to give us a fighting chan e is our offense coining out firing, a la '04 vs. the old Colts. That was an "unwind able" game too, but we came out firing! Conventional wisdom dictates one thing: we need to do something else. e.g. They expect our dink/dunk O. We should have Ben back in the time machine THIS WEEK ONLY, start dropping him back more, and making stuff happen with his legs.
THEN we can dictate (the run). On D, we gotta also flip the script on them, do stuff that we don't NORMALLY do.
If if we come out and go run, run, pass, mtheyll jump on us quick and it'll be all she wrote.Comment

Another straw man argument, how cute. <pats him on head> You really got us debating that fake argument we never asserted. Very nice job, Timmy.Comment

Partially true. But if ALL we get is 3 points all day, we lose by 14. You don't beat a team like the Colts (#1 offense and #3 D) by putting up FGs. We need some TDs or we lose, end of story.Comment

Shocking if given a choice between scoring less points or more points you would choose the greater.....
Of course they have to score points to win, and yes they have to score more points than the colts....but its sustaining drives and keep luck off the field that will make them successful. If they do a decent job at stopping luck and keep giving him chances its only a matter of time before he gets it going.Comment

The one thing that this team has not been doing is going three and out very often. The O has moved the ball, changed field position, run clock...the one thing that they are not doing is scoring. And that would be a killer too.Comment

Not only that, but if we keep tossing the D back on the field too much, Bradshaw and Richardson will start running over us. This D needs rest or they will wither on the field. We got guys like Keisel, Harrison, Troy. Look at the difference in Dallas on their D this season, since their offense keeps moving the chains and controls TOP. If we want a prayer in this one, we can't have the D on that field too long.Shocking if given a choice between scoring less points or more points you would choose the greater.....

Gerry Dulac @gerrydulac ·
Colts no-name defense has been surprisingly incredible. Allowed only 4 of 41 third-down conversions in last 4 games. 4 of 41!!!!!
Colts outgained the Bengals in net yards, 506 to 135, second largest differential in Indy franchise history.

I'm not worried about Richardson and Bradshaw running the ball against us this week like I was with Arian Foster running against us last week. Richardson is all college hype. Remarkable that Cleveland got Indy to give up a #1 for him. I'm more worried about Bradshaw catching passes out of the backfield than I am straight up rushing the ball. With Reggie Wayne out, I'm most worried about dumpoff passes to Bradshaw, Dwayne Allen and Coby Fleener. I think it would be great if Shazier and Shamarko were good to go this week so they could help cover those guys. Put Gay on Hilton, McCain on Nicks, and Allen on Moncrief. Not only that, but if we keep tossing the D back on the field too much, Bradshaw and Richardson will start running over us. If we want a prayer in this one, we can't have the D on that field too long.Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.
Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.
We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.
We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.Comment
