Dang, even special teams looked good tonight!

Wish they had been wearing their throwback uniforms, they would have looked like a swarm of honeybees on those jailbreak ST tackles on punt coverage!

We got our "6-PACK" - time to work on a CASE!

HERE WE GO STEELERS, HERE WE GO!

Ross Ventrone and Antwon Blake both excelled on punt and kick coverage tonight...

Ya coverage was nice, im not over joyed with our blocking on returns though and we need to work on not giving me a heart attack when fielding onside kicks.

Sorry, but onside kicks are designed to cause heart attacks.

Kick/punt coverage was markedly better last night. Good job.

Our return game is pretty anemic. I'm bummed that Dri Archer isn't even close to the weapon we'd hoped.

Yes the return game sucks. Also all played flat and lost at first. Why do they always look uninspired and flat?

Watch the tape. Teams are clearly focusing taking away the outside and our blockers are creating no lanes whatsoever. He will break on this this year but the 10 guys in front of him need to do much more. On the other hand, I am really happy with what Wing is developing into. Some great punts to pin the Texans inside the 20. Just needs to be more consistent.

To this point, he's been a liability. The blocking could stand to improve but he needs to get upfield instead of spending so much time running laterally.

Good stuff from Wing, good stuff from the coverage and I keep hoping the opposing teams kickoffs go out of the end zone. Dri Archer is nothing.... Has he made it past the 12 yard line yet this season ? Waste of a draft/roster spot.

Unfair on Archer...we all want more right away, but hes still got some serious potential

no, not fair at all to call him a waste. If the exchange on the draw play was clean he may have taken it to the house. We need to get him in a few mismatches in order to use his speed properly.

Agree to disagree about Dri. To me if a guy needs all the conditions, you can pretty much ask anyone to fill the spot. I thought he was a specialist?

I don't understand why every time we bring in Archer on offense, we always hand it to him or throw it to him. He's never a decoy. If teams see him trot onto the field, they can just key on him, because they know he's getting the ball. I'd fake the draw to Archer and run a play action pass, or fake the bubble screen to Archer and throw deep instead.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
