        you are correct.

I'm just bitter after a horrible loss.

the only reason I made this post is because a few people were angry that I questioned the offensive production in the Jax game.

we need people like you to keep this place positive because right now, I can't think of anything good besides being 3-3 6 games into the season and that's sad.

Unfortunately, this board has become an inhospitable place for positive people. We rarely have posts from guys like Flippy or Chadman. OTOH, there is endless drivel from sick beats, squidkid and windycitysteel. I have people taking shots at me for no reason other than my attempts to be positive.

That is pathetic. This has become bizzaro board.

I bet the doom and bloomers would be miserable if the Steelers were 6-0

Hahaha so true! And now LasVegasGuy is back!!! We only need SteelCzar and agdci to show up again to make it even worse! Seriously, these guys must LOVE Monday mornings after the Steelers lose. Makes their whole week! One of them was the original "Overpaid janitor" commenter from the Trib board. Good times...

On a football note, however, I'm really ready to let the young guys see the field and play for real. Tuitt, McCullers, Bryant, Shamarko...get em out there and see if they can play. By all accounts Tuitt has been trending towards more playing time anyway, so start him and see what happens. Bryant needs to be out there if for no other reason than to run deep fly-patterns and free up some space in the middle of the field for everyone else.

I have nothing against doom and gloom. We may disagree, but, as I said, that is what the board is for.

But, being a wicker basket is completely unnecessary. If you don't like what someone has to say, ignore it or live with it.

                  nah.. it's become .500 world.

I think you need to stop acting like we are watching quality football.

I would love to go 13-3 and shut those doomers up but right now it's their time to shine. I think it's a little naive to try and spin positives out of this display of football.

This is possible if and only if we have legit changes by Monday night....I do believe the talent is there but, Coaches
in Pittsburgh don't now how to use the talent....or play unpredictable.....
Not seeing the will to win either as a team....

And yet, the black-and-gold tinted glasses folks take pot shots at the realists all the time, by name. If I didn't know better, I'd say the pot is calling the kettle black here. I rarely ever mention any poster by name, period. As a matter of fact I don't even commit posters attitudes to memory, unless I get into a flame war, which I never start. Only now that it's been stated by name, do I recognize you for being a zealot who refuses to admit reality.

I mean, we were the only team that lost to the Bucs, could have easily lost to a Jags team that everyone else destroys and got - not only beat - but smashed by a Browns team that beat no other team by more than a few points. Only the Steelers were torn limb from limb by the Browns. Now, coming off two non-winning seasons, if this isn't worthy of griping, then I am not sure what is.

                        BINGO $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ WORD

If this team was merely needing a wake up call, the Bucs game would have been it. But they looked just as listless in Jville. And then follow that up with having their faces caved in by the Browns, who looked like they could have scored 55 and the Steelers were helpless to stop them. This team is a pile of feces. It is a rudderless ship. No direction. No leadership. No spirit. No focus. Is it a microcosm of our entire country? Could very well be.

I totally agree. Quit playing the "Know the system" guys because they may know it but they can't do it. Get the young guys on the field to accelerate the learning curve. I'll take the losses with young guys who will be the future versus guys who are clearly the past. Also, quit running Troy all over the field so he is out of position. He has lost his recovery speed. Keep him in a deep safety position to prevent the big gains...not that he can reliably tackle.
"My team, may they always be right, but right or wrong...MY TEAM!"

Know the system is the excuse.

Did Levon Kirkland "know the system" when he played DEFENSIVE LINE in Bill Cowher's first game?

Did Gary Howe, an undrafted nobody "know the system" when he played defensive line for Capers as a rookie?

Did Darren Perry, the free safety who calls the defense "know the system" when he started for Capers as a rookie?

Did Joel Steed "know the system" when he played for Capers as a rookie?

Did Deon Figures "know the system" when he was the #3 CB for Capers as a rookie?

Did Chad Brown "know the system" when he was a rush DE for Capers as a rookie?

Did Brentson Buckner "know the system" when he played as a rookie for Capers?

Did Jason Gildon "know the system" when he was a rush DE for Capers as a rookie?

Did Chad Scott "know the system" when he was a starting CB for Haslett as a rookie?

Did Casey Hampton "know the system" when he was a starting for Tim Lewis as a rookie?

Did Kendrell Bell "know the system" when he was a starting for Tim Lewis as a rookie?

This whole "excuse" of the system being too hard only came to fruition when Dick LeBeau was the DC.

Because that's his mindset, he's admitted he doesn't like to play rookies, so the alleged complexity of the system is his crutch.

Wasn't a problem for Capers, Haslett, and Lewis though.

Did Hampton start week 1? No. Buckner? No. In fact, I believe he was inactive at the start of the season.

Was Shazier starting week 1 this year?

Was Jones starting week 1 last year?

                                Can Schmarko stay healthy?

Was McCullers a sixth round pick?
