In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

Was the better records formed in Cowhers days or Tomlins days as a coach ?

Tomlin is 10-4 against the Bengals. You can find that on the internet. But you can satisfy yourself by believing the wins were due to Cowher's players and the losses were due to his ineptitude.

            Oh, he will...

I read his post and all I got from it was... "How can I blame Tomlin for something in this thread?"

Tomlin has the better winning percentage vs the Bengals...

and he has also faced better Bengals teams IMO than Cowher.

The Captain's 54-28 stat is not a win-loss record vs. the Bengals. It's referencing the points that we scored for and against this season vs. teams with big cats as mascots (a 37-19 victory over the Panthers and a 17-9 victory over the Jaguars equals 54-28 against big cat teams so far this year).
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

what's Cowher's point total vs the big cat teams?

Players eventually lose their edge and so do coaches. Tomlin has fallen in his performances too. And his success has come with Cowhers bunch of players an his coaching squad. Bring in Tomlin, keep the same supporting cast another way for the front office to tell Tomlin, " don't screw things up. " And Tomlin did do a good job and better than Cowher would have I believe had Cowher remained. I've always said this. So I asked a stat question. People are here commenting on our Bengal record so I asked. Getting stats, comparison is what I pay attention to.. Cut me up if you like. Here is a stat for you all. Whom do I knock on this board when they post ? Fezziwig 0 and you know your score/score.

Probably not good, because Cowher's teams were playing against the Jaguars during Reshean Mathis' heyday, and that dude seemed to be good for at least one pick six every time we played them.

I always felt Bettis used to have his way with the Bengals ? Or maybe I'm not permitted to comment on that either ?

But your question has nothing to do with the point of THIS thread. This topic has NOTHING TO DO with our record against the Bengals.

My point (as has been explained to you) is WE HAVE CRUSHED BIG CAT TEAMS (54 to 28 versus the Panthers, Jaguars) therefore we will own the Bengals. It is a tongue in cheek way to find a positive spin on our season thus far.

                          Therefore Dizz comment:

The point is that you seemed so quick to bash Tomlin that you missed the whole point of the thread.

So intent in your point that you COMPLETELY MISSED when others tried to explain to you what this thread is about
                          It is quite funny.

I didn't come here to bash Tomlin. I asked if our record against the Bengals was better with what coach. Why the big deal ? A ouple of you want it to sound like I'm bashing Tomlin so now I'll give you what you want. Cowher was good against certain teams as is Tomlin, I just wanted to know if our edge is from what coach geesh. Don't forget to turn this into racism now also. You have a few posters here that travel like a pack of wolves telling others what their agenda or meanings are of post when all you really want to do is bully.

well, now that you know the answer (Tomlin's record is slightly better)..... what does it mean?
