    im sorry Mr. Chuck Noll

this was suppose to be the year in which we as SteelerNation was to celebrate you,and how you build a champion team from scratch. When money and egos were non factors. Now,not only has the NFL become an primetime drama series of domestic issues, the winning spirit you brought to the steel city is slowly being drain from the orginization. There is behavior that neither you(or even Cowher)would put up with. The atomsphere is somewhat''clubbish''and the integrity of wearing a steeler uniform is gone.In the memory of Mr. Noll,to the players, couches and respectfully to Mr.Rooney,Man-up.

Chuck Noll had the luxury of not having to coach Millennials either. Lucky Chuck.
Obviously the standard is the standard.

A bit melodramatic there, old chap. Noll "put up with" Fats Holmes shooting at a police helicopter on the Ohio Turnpike; he put up with Joe Gilliam's drug habit until it could no longer be ignored; Joe Green kicking and punching guys during games, etc. Several guys who played under Cowher have debunked the notion that he was a strong disciplinarian (Burress, for example, got away with being late to meetings and various other infractions), etc. You're looking at the good old days through rose-colored glasses.

Be it I was so young or they hushed stuff up. It wasn't until the 80's or 90's that I heard about the Helicopter shooting. I also didn't know Rocky Bliers war issues until the movie

Holmes was not just a draft pick when that happened. If anyone ever doubted that The Chief had "connections" and the ability to withdraw favors from the "favor bank", that incident should have ended the doubts. I was then and still am amazed that he could pull that off.

Holmes was drafted in 71, that happened in 73. Thanks wikipedia.

The emperor's last few teams had all sorts of problems, no?

We tend to have selective memories. Noll, Cowher and Tomlin have all put up with nonsense from talented players. I don't agree with it...but its a reality.

I think that people forget that social media was pretty much nonexistent during the Noll and Cowher eras.

When you and your peers are commonly referred to as "The School Massacre Generation" it's kind of hard to claim any kind of greatness really.

He didn't, but the rest of the teams in the league do and they don't have the complete lack of discipline shown by the Steelers.

I'm hearing that despite recent success that the entitled Millenials on the 49ers want Jim Harbaugh out. Get used to hearing these kinds of reports going forward.
