You CANNOT push off unless the defender is CLOSE TO YOU.
We give up receptions because teams throw underneath our massive cushion.

They nickel and dime us to death because of our cushion.
Stop routes, return routes, hitch routes, quick passes to the receiver at the LOS.

Its not like they made catches after eating up the cushion and were well into coverage and made the play anyway sometime with the help of pushing off.

IT WAS ALL DLs FAULT that our corners WERE NOWHERE NEAR THE RECEIVERS.
Pushing off? When will the excuses end?

Dont you guys pay attention to the games?

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

    TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

Sorry, bad, lopsided calls or not, I can't go there. There were so many ways we could have won that I can't spend much any time focusing on bad calls. Most/all of the 15 yarders were proper calls. There is virtually no discipline with this team, and we have a head coach who JUST NOW says he is going to address it. Really, Tomlin? NOW you are gonna get around to it? How about START that process in CAMP? These players KNOW that he is all hot air, no actions. Just watch the sideline; did you see how Brown reacted when Tomlin tried to "give him a talking to" after the celebration flag? He walked away and laughed and went on to celebrate more with teammates. What a joke. Was the the refs fault too?

What is no one talking about? A perfectly executed flea flicker play that AB dropped. That play was likely being set up all game, if not all year, to be used at a time when it would win us the game. I'm kind of amazed at how little Haley reacted to the drop. It was pretty clear by his reaction that missing that one really stung, and it was a terrific call that should have finished off a W.

I was deflated after that drop. That was a game clincher. It should have been an easy catch by AB. Drops happen but it particularly pisses me off when he's celebrating a former TD catch by dancing like an idiot, dropping to the ground, getting us a 15 yard penalty. Then after Tomlin talks to him about the penalty, he blows it off and keeps celebrating on the sidelines.

He's a great player but I'm really getting tired of AB's look-at-me style.
