    Bright Spots

Heath Miller passing Lynn Swann on all-time Steelers receiving list. Miller looks to be back to his old self. He took some nasty hits today and still made the plays. The way he looked today, he still has a couple of years left of great ball.

Antonio Brown with the NFL record for consecutive games with more than 5 receptions. Bag on him all you want, but he brings it 120% every game.

Old man Kiesel is still making plays. Too bad the young guys beside him can't seem to play to his level.

The Steelers defense found out what life without Ike will be like next season. Meaning, this is a heads up they should be looking for CB early.

Spence continued his journey back to the NFL and it was great to see him on the field.

Keisel is playing the best ball hes played in a couple of years. I thought James Harrison looked pretty good for coming in off the couch. Not may complaints about the offense, besides some poor pass protection at times.

          Bright spots...

It was nice to see Heath pass up Swann. He seems to be fairly sure handed but has definitely lost a few steps. I could see him sticking around for another year or two.

Arthur Moats also looks to have an excellent burst coming off of the edge. Thinking he was signed to a one year deal before the season... this is definitely one we need to get signed for a few more years.

Was surprised to see JH get as many snaps as he did. He did get pressure on a few plays.. he drew one holding call in particular that kept him from getting a sack. Also seemed to stack up the run on a few plays. Looks like a guy who will be solid as a rotational player down the stretch.. Was also great to see Shawn Spence out there for a full game. I think he will be solid for us if he can stay healthy.

I agree that Keisel is still solid... I know this is going to sound crazy...but I'm going to say it anyways... I think they need to bring him back again next year also... as long as he maintains this level of play. They are going to need depth on the DL..and he can provide that...at the very least.

Steelers should have been "looking for a CB early" this past offseason...they knew that was their biggest weak spot.
But hey, don't worry... if they keep waiting until the 5th round of the draft or later, eventually they will find a gem...

As long as he stays healthy I agree with you.

I think if they can develop a rotation they stand a better chance of keeping him healthy.. while getting Tuitt and others the reps they need to take over at that spot.

Wheaton is the real deal, and I think he did not draw a stupid penalty. That's a bright spot.

Wheaton didn't put up huge numbers today.. but I agree... he is exciting.. he hasn't missed much this season...that's for sure. What a great catch over the middle early.

The Steelers had more than a few holes to fill and of course LB strength is a key to their defense. Defensive line is still looking for a guy that can command double teams. I like the potential of some of the young Dline players they picked up. Next draft they grab a good corner and it will all fall into place.

I think its the year they draft a CB early and pick up another upper tier CB in free agency.

Not sure they can do both of those things with the money they just gave Cortez. At least we'll save some money with the way Worilds is playing.
