Ghost -- I think that the OC, DC and HC all chime in. The DC says -- I can defend this, the OC says -- coach? -- and the HC says, lets roll with it. Or something like that, I'd assume.
Its too important a call at that point to put it all on the OC.

Probably right Boston. I just can't beleive the head coach had no say in the draw play at the end. What a head scratching bad decision.

I'm done defending Tomlin or any other coach on this team.

This team is too predictable. If we play a bad team its guaranteed to be a nail biter. If we play a good team or supposedly goo team and win we WILL lose the next game even if its a bye week.

Prepare for a close game vs Jax next week.
Roethlisberger missed at least 2 wide open WRs for touchdowns today, should we blame the coaches for that?

Bad plays happen. Even the perfect Dolphins team had bad plays.
You blame the Coach for bad decisions. Like the draw on 3 and 5 in the last offensive series, or the decision to not rush the QB on the final 40 yard pass.

            Apparently, yes!

            It's LeBeau's fault!
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

There is enough to go around...

300 yards by Glennon is LeBeau's fault.

I'm shaking my head at us punting on the 4th and 2 when we have a chance to put the nail in the Bucs coffin. We have to face the fact that this has to be an offensive team and that's the group we have to rely on to win games. Its not the defense anymore.
As many on this site think ... The Rooney's suck, Colbert sucks, Tomlin sucks, the coaches suck, and the players suck.

                  but Go Steelers!!!

Following the second half of Cleveland, all of Baltimore and the carving up by a second string nobody yesterday; I'm really hoping the coaches can come to the conclusion you've just stated. When this ship starts sinking; there are no pails on the defensive side of the ball.

Just like the Cleveland game each unit decided to take a half off and then the STs chime in late with a scrub punt. The offense was horrible in the 1st half and the defense was horrible in the 2nd half, sprinkle in enough penalties for 3 games and one bad punt and you lose the game in the waning seconds. It's a typical young team in transition, one half they look good, the next, not so much.

Everyone come in off the ledge and enjoy the rest of the season, the Steelers are going to win games they should lose and lose games they should win and in the end 8-8 or 9-7 is probably where they'll end up. Lets hope some young guys make strides and get better, then the team will start to become a consistent team, which typically means a good team.

Penalties, looking unprepared, undisciplined, giving the other team 10 points immediately. At some point the total inability to beat lesser opponents has to fall on the coaching staff and this has been going on for at least 3 seasons now. Enough.

Ditto here. Never critical of Tomlin before.
I STILL think the schemes are sound, but the broad lack of discipline? That is on the head coach.
Tomlin needs to get this fixed, he should be embarrassed by this loss. If he can't instill discipline through the season, he needs to be done here.

The upside is that the pain of losing makes the timing perfect for him to tighten the reigns.
I think it can be done.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

There's obviously a lack of discipline. I love the taunting call, followed by the A Brown excessive celebration. Stupid and classless. Great job. Then I watch A Brown go to the sidelines and continue to ham it up all smiles. He scores again later and dances some more, no call this time. I guess he didn't shake his hips lewdly enough that time.

You'd think a player who got his team penalized due to a completely unnecessary display of immature selfishness would show some contrition. But apparently Tomlin does not care so why should Brown?

The penalties are a disturbing trend since the beginning of the year. It is on coaching and it is embarrassing.
